There can always be an area that "opens" up after you beat the Elite 4 like in DPPt Turnback Cave and such so I think this will be the case.

They might be in Johto, there's a high chance they'll be in Kanto. Hoenn won't be in this game for like 99.99% IMO. But speaking of Kanto, there are like 100000 caves and places they took out in GSC, and might bring back in, now when their cartridge is 256MB. Also, go figure if Sevii Islands will be in, and if not Sevii, there will be a new location that wasn't even supposed to be in GSC imo.

If you all look at the main post of this thread now, there's a link. The link has recently been updated by the official site and it looks to me like there's a whole new area. Seems like an underground cavern. (I know for a fact it's a cave because the pictures alternate to the battle scene and the setting is cave-like)

People have, indeed, been talking about this for a while. Once you get either Kyogre or Groudon, Rayquaza is enabled.
Was it "either" or "both"? Pretty sure that was "both".

Anyways, there are 1000000000 possibilities of where they'll be. One of them is a location that was excluded from GSC's Kanto cause of no space. Another is the availability of HM Dive, as a reminder of RSE. Go figure.

You're correct, you must obtain both Kyogre and Groudon within one game [trading required] to access Rayquaza within the game. I was pretty surprised when I had first heard about the Hoenn Legendaries to make an appearance in the remakes a few weeks ago, but after awhile it pretty much all synced in. However, just because they will be there, it doesn't really make me consider the fact that Hoenn itself will be included within the game. Kanto is there, and a third region would be taking up space that could be used for other sole purposes. However, whether it could reference to a future remake of the third generation later in the years, I wouldn't know, but I think it could be a possibility when the game is needed again.

As to where they will be located, it is pretty hard to pinpoint. With both Kanto and Johto accessible in the game, there are quite a bit of possibilities on their location. However, Seafoam Island sounds like a decent place for Kyogre as it was the original place holder for Articuno in FireRed and LeafGreen. Although, with certain new areas who isn't to say that a new location would be unlocked for the Hoenn legendaries later on in the game. I say this because when you look at the image where Kyogre and Groudon are found, they look similar. So, their position could be in the same location, just version exclusive, like it was originally in Ruby and Sapphire. This is just a thought, but I wouldn't think of it as impossible.

Kyogre cant be in the Seafoam Islands because, thats where Blaine's gym was back in the originals

That did come to my mind, but in FireRed and LeafGreen, the Seafoam Islands had two entrances, in which can be used for two different areas of the Seafoam Islands. With this being said, Kyogre could be located within one entrance later on in the game once unlocked, while Blaine be situated in the other protion of the Islands for his gym. However, even with this, who isn't to say a new area altogether would be formed just for the Hoenn legends to stay.

Not to mention, even with Blaine being located there, Seafoam Islands, just like many have thought of before just seemed like a noteable location for Kyogre to rest. I never specifically stated it would be situated there, but more so a more suited area for a large water type like itself.

did anyone think of Mt. Silver. Reasons for me thinking this:
There isn't already a Legendary Pokemon there.
You don't get both Kyogre and Groudon on one game so both will be in the same place but on different games.

[nf]Thing is, if you look at the screen caps for them both, Kyogre and Groudon appear to be in the same place, so I believe there is only one potential location and which one is there depends on the game, just like in RS. It would be way too awkward for them to make both games different just to have the two in different locations.[/nf]

I heard of them. Though their locations are very unknown, I think Kyogre's and Groudon's could be the same place since HG/SS will have you only be able to capture one of them.

I think maybe you have a side quest to Hoenn only to go where Kyogre/Groudon, and Rayquaza are to catch them.

Like you go to the cave in Sootopolis City, and yeah.

Maybe the Marine Cave and the Terra Cave appear at random Routes in Kanto and Johto, maybe even the Sevii Isles.

But if I were Gamefreak I would put the three Hoenn Legendaries into Navel Rock, because Lugia and Ho-oh returned back to Johto after 3 years resting there.
Maybe we'll even see a battle between Groudon and Kyogre fighting in the sea between Vermillion City and Route 17.

I agree with Dusty Dog. I think it'll probably be Mt. Silver, if not, then where else?
