  • I will still be mad if my interpretation ends up being far from the truth, but I think I'm doing a good job on my end.

I also know that she probably feigns alliances with the other nations, but I think in main story (of the game) that all went to shit in Liyue after what Childe did.
Definitely the case. She has no love for her people, as Dainsleif stated at some point. I fully believe she uses people in her country as pawns and sacrifices.

In Fact, I have brought this up in my own fanfiction that Her Majesty has "disposables" (Krysí and Rys) and Siorc, when he thought he was dying, told the audience, "I'm disposable, I know that."

So, I hope my fic is believeable in that regard, at least. Siorc is being used as a pawn to gather information throughout all of Teyvat which is why he's sent everywhere in the continent.. except around Snezhnaya. I think I've only written the palace & a non canon Dottore lab that's somewhere there & a training ground but still.

I think I found it. Leaving means "dire consequences." It doesn't state death, but I think after this quest, one of them doesn't survive. I could be wrong, but if you escape & survive, you're the lucky one.

So, definitely... Don't defy Her Majesty if you want to live. Even before Sumeru, I just knew that's how things were. Always had that gut feeling.

That's why I am prevalent on this interpretation in my fic, too. That the Fatui have undying loyalty.

Siorc knows this all too well. It's very common in the fic for him to fear he'll just straight up be murdered if he doesn't perform well, doesn't do his orders. And has been threatened if he disappoints her, he can "kiss his life goodbye."

(Naofa too, after a traumatic incident, Her Majesty threatened to kill it if it ever does something like that ever again to 'her lovely chimera.')

If my take on the Tsarista ends up being inaccurate, I'll be so upset because I take her to be this woman who acts like she's loving, but really isn't.
Let me see if I can find it, I believe it was a Sumeru Fatui that left.

The Tsarista is brutal. Imo. The Fatui is definitely a dictatorship.
Of course. Some Fatui have been killed for trying to leave (actually canon), and Her Majesty threatened Siorc with his life if he were ever insubordinate a second time.
& Siorc knew all along, might I add that Naofa wasn't trustworthy. (But had to work with it because insubordination will be how he'd die and he knows it.)
I'd say that Naofa going from nation to nation manipulating the entire population there and joining all their governing bodies takes the cake, though.
Being a humanoid animal person kidnapped by a god and forced to be a multi region Diplomatic Soldier, I would say so.
A small book where all of Siorc's jobs relate to gods or mystical beings in some way.

But, not all of them, but 8/13 will be.
Chapter 1, Siorc will be giving lanterns to adepti & Yaksha to "stop an evil dragon from awakening".
I have ideas lined up for a very long time.

Next book is a god job book. This one will be fun.
Speaking of which, all 40 chapters are finished.

... Finale, however is an 18ker. Third longest thing I've ever written.
    Yeah, 2025, for sure.

I honestly think I'm psychic because whenever I think about something, it happens. Been happening a lot lately.

& The wheelchair was even wooden, too. Just like I thought would be the case in the Genshin universe.
    Also, Wheelchairs exist in Genshin!

    Read Yoimiya's second story quest.
Hooray. I don't have to come up with a whole lore concept for why my upcoming oc has a wheelchair now because they just exist in genshin as normal.
2025! Unless Natlan is super small, and they push the release of Snezhnaya up, or something, (I doubt it).

Speaking of guns, Naofa is not allowed to ever touch one.
I'm finally finishing the Naofa book this week, and moving onto the Silence is Purple: God Jobs book after that. Bye Naofa, I hate you. Good riddance.
Snezhnaya though... Is the Soviet Union. (Speculated). So. Tech galore.

If they have guns, they have to have more than that.
I was joking. We're definitely not getting trains.

All travel in this game is man powered since the horses are gone. I don't think Teyvat has anything except ships and boats tbh. And some carts.

Would love to see primitive steam automobiles in the Fontaine Streets tho
Yeah, like I don't expect people in Fontaine to have televisions or anything too fancy, so maybe... Industrial revolution era, specifically, the second one: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Second_Industrial_Revolution.

Steampunk is always before the 20th century, but Genshin mixes inspiration. So, maybe we'll see *gasp* TRAINS in Genshin. Wow, the star rail express. /Joke.

... okay, maybe not. But, maybe Fontaine has steam powered engines, at least.
I've heard people say 1920s France, too, but I don't think that's the case. But, steampunk feels more real every day.

Learning Fontaine has movies means it can't be any later than late 1800s in terms of what it's based on because that's when they were invented.

Definitely excited to see what Fontaine looks like.
I hope Fontaine is a steampunk country, though, I want to write Siorc being fascinated by technology he's never seen before.

...He doesn't even know what a watch and clock are! (It's a running gag okay).
