  • The underwater one is the one associated with the Perpetual Machine Array boss, actually. And, it's tied to a series of rather annoying puzzles & part of the Sakura Cleansing. You have to do some blocks in a very specific order to drain an entire thing of water, and then another set of Electro Cube puzzles to do the same thing.

Had to Google it in order to get that one. The waypoints I'm missing are two domains.

Finishing Orobashi's Legacy unlocks the Formation Estate Domain in Yashiori Island. Because... the thunderstorm doesn't clear until you finish that (annoying) questline.

I'm also missing the domain in Watatsumi Island, but I forget how to do the puzzle.
Honestly? I do the World Quests. Not all of them, of course. Mostly the extremely important ones only, though.

Did all of Sakura Cleansing (I hated it), all of the extremely important Sumeru ones (Aranara Golden Sands, Jeht Hadramaveth quests (3.4), Sorush questline) Some of the other important Inazuma ones (Serai Stormchasers, Through the Mists), And, every single Mondstadt one at some point, and probably a majority of the Liyue ones that didn't make me get stuck.

Some, though, honestly, screw some of them. Some, I won't bother with. There's some really annoying ones from Liyue (Treasure Lost, Treasure Found) and Inazuma like Orobashi's legacy. But, I might someday because I want to unlock that domain that's locked behind that world quest so I can have all the teleport waypoints unlocked including domains.
    You're welcome.

In other news, I still haven't finished a lot of the Inazuma World Quests. Maybe someday. Maybe I'll do it for the mini book I'm writing in June (an odd job novella).
Should be easy to find once you complete part of the new world quest. You'll get 5 primos from the achievement, too.

I'll probably have Siorc go there... the door, anyway.
The door to Khaenri'ah! You get an achievement for finding it that says you reached the end of the surface world, so it's really the door.

You have to go underground in Tungi Hollows, and go outside a mechanical door, and you'll see it. But, it's hidden behind a hidden teleport waypoint & you have to finish part of a quest for this cool secret. Can't just waltz in there since Tungi Hollows is blocked off before then.
I didn't realize I had done that, to be fair.

Speaking of interesting, I found the door to Khaenri'ah deep within the confines of the new area in 3.6. Good luck finding it, though, you can't even find it unless you do a world quest and it's not a part of the quest line, or anything. I took Venti there for the memes.
Although, the first time before the incident (the chapter in which it happens that caused the heart problems to occur) the narrator mentioned his heart skipped two beats.

Foreshadowing for what's to come, probably.

Although, I think throughout the Naofa arc Siorc's been having a lot of bad heart days. Since... Well.
Delusions do far worse things to Siorc than take his life force. They target something else...
Well, it's meant literally in Siorc's case. There are even scenes where it's specified more than one beat is skipped, so.

But, for everyone else that write that "trope", it's definitely a figure of speech. For me, when writing that it's not because he has heart problems.
    Siorc is a stubborn fool.

To quote my fanfiction verbatim, stress is bad for the heart, indeed.

You'll see eventually how the heart problems are a common issue in the fanfiction, though. It's not something that magically goes away. It's permanent.

So, the "heart skips a beat " is not a trope for Siorc, his heart is skipping actual beats.

... Can't believe that's considered a trope in fanfiction, heart skipping a beat.
Natlan is going through it. I can't wait for the area to be a burning hellscape.

Speaking of going through it, just finished this week's chapter.
...Siorc almost had a heart attack. And we're talking... not the line, "you almost gave me a heart attack!" An actual... very close to having a real heart attack.

    Cardiac arrest. The real deal.

Shown through symptoms until it was stated in some way in a poem that he would go into cardiac arrest if quick action weren't taken.
Oh, no, I didn't mean technology. I meant other wild shit, like:

Volcanos. :D Lots of volcanic activity.

& Boxing, probably a war, and it being extremely hot there, so in some places we will be afflicted by whatever is the opposite of sheer cold. (Signora's fight had it, the opposite of sheer cold). There might be slavery there, too.

There has to be a reason no one talks about Natlan. Or goes there.
    For now.

Until we get some bombshell Natlan lore that blows Fontaine out of the water... (He he, punny).
    I guess so, but still.

Well, they only attack you if you either provoke them, or are working for the Eremites, Fatui, etc. Otherwise they're pretty calm and don't approach you.

Yes. Here's the line in question talking about getting a diving certificate. It's very easy to miss, so I don't blame you for never seeing it.
Well, honestly Layla barely does any Cryo damage. And... Kokomi is the leader of an army. And there was a war, so I don't know about that one.

Well, if you ice bridge or on the shallow end of water you probably could fight back, but fighting woodland creatures isn't a huge mechanic anyway, they just drop more meat.

Although, apparently in Fontaine you can get a diving licence. NPC in Ritou said so. So, if we can dive in Fontaine, there's definitely going to be some enemies. Jellyfish stinging us abd doing Electro damage, maybe. Stuff like that.
Soon, 1/5th when Fontaine gets added.

Most of Inzaumza, though, they have their own types of sword arts. And of the characters in Liyue, I feel like there's only a few who don't really fight. Like Yun Jin "stage fights" she doesn't actually battle. And I think Hu Tao isn't a fighter, either. I do still think Sumeru is a classic example of brain vs brawn, I don't know.

Speaking of Fontaine, how would you feel if sea life were to like attack us there? I had this premonition that once we get to Fontaine, like how wildlife critters attack us in Fontaine, the sea life will attack us in Fontaine. (ie: there's sharks there). Just some food for thought since you know, Fontaine is the Hydro Nation.
Well, true, but most of the playable characters in Mondstadt are knights, or at least, affiliated with them, part of the adventures guild. With some exceptions like Diona, Mona, and the church of Favonius playables, but Barbara is a healer, & Rosaria is definitely a fighter.

I don't think all the characters that are playable are particularly skilled in combat. Like Layla. But, I guess, if you have a vision, you're probably more capable.
Although, hmm, Jeht and Rana don't have Visions and they carry themselves well in battle.

Siorc, on the other hand is defensively trained & isn't really much of a fighter unless he has to, I guess? Since his elemental skill is one like Amber's where an object is dropped down (a flower) that fights along with him for a small period of time.
Childe chose a bow because it's actually his weakness. I also have an oc who can "change weapons" upon casting an e/q in Savon who is a Catalyst user that creates a Trident of Fire (a polearm constructed from flames).

But we now have Mika who can wield a crossbow in his elemental skill.

& Probably, yes, a Sumeru thing. Most of them aren't fighters at all. Like, Nilou mostly using water dances to fight, Layla only really granting a shield and so on, and so forth.
Okay, but unlike Kaveh, Sayu, at least uses her Claymore. Kaveh's magical bag thingy wields it for him.

Lately, a lot of the Claymore users (except Dehya, she's an exception) don't feel like Claymore users. Dori doesn't even fight herself, she has her magical genie friend fight for her. So, is she really a Claymore user by definition?

Honnestly, Siorc is puny, 5'2, he doesn't look like he could wield a Claymore. But, throughout the story, he's been seen struggling with the polearm, and barely able to really use a bow because "it's not in his blood" or something. Like, I wrote a chapter where he used a crossbow and was absolutely terrible with it.

...Although, "polearm art and bow art" not being "in his blood" is a weird thing considering his (double) cousins in The Chasm are split between a Polearm and Bow factions, so lmfao, I guess he's just really bad at anything that's not a sword? He can use a bow and arrow, but he definitely can't fight with it for a long period of time.
    Yes, indeed.

Also, Kaveh is a Dendro Claymore...

...Did you know denial is a river in Egypt?
I might have Albedo say she's in solitary confinement for causing an explosion in Knights Headquarters/blasting fish, so she couldn't have possibly hidden/planted bombs in Dragonspine.

I wrote Klee blasting fish, by the way, and Jean had to haul her off and put her into her room. That was hilarious.
