That's what I was thinking, rats are quite adept at adapting to harsh environments, so Adaptability would fit it nicely. But, I also agree that Technician would be devastating in that its weaker moves like Quick Attack would be powered up in addition to getting the STAB boost from its Dark-type...

I agree that it has the potential to be a force to be reckoned with as it is, but I hardly ever see them used competitively (maybe it's just me), even though they are extremely common in the wild. So, as you mentioned, making it a Dark-type would definitely give it a boost to its Sucker Punch...

Although I would like to see popular (and rather powerful) Pokemon like Metagross, Skarmory, Milotic, Flygon, Salamence, and a few others I can't think of at the moment get their own Megas, I would also like to see somewhat weaker Pokemon get them too, just so it will level the playing field...
