  • I've searched for half an hour. I have not seen another Murkrow, and at 5% doubt I will. I'm going to keep the baby in play because of the 5% encounter rate, which is not working in my favour. Meanwhile, I've caught everything to be found except for Landorus.

Still can't believe I found two in five encounters yesterday.

EDIT: I've called off the search. I still have to shower for today and I've spent an hour on the 3DS alone already preparing trades, entering FCs, and mostly searching for a Murkrow that isn't there. You can train a baby into the 30s very quickly by having it hold a Lucky Egg and starting battles against Lv.47-50 (or even Giant Chasm's Lv.55) Audinos, then switch to someone else to fight it. You can pick your moves too. Just keep doing this until it hits Lv.47 or 48 then it's like a fresh catch. :)
Shroomish and Zorua have been infected with Pokérus. I'm going to leave Houndour for now as it still didn't infect after three battles; however, as long as you have a Pokémon you want infected in your party along with an already infected Pokémon (right next to it), the infection will spread. This is only the one day strain, so whatever you do, do NOT keep an infected Pokémon outside your box if you want to retain the "disease"; make sure you have at least one or more in there that you will never use but for infection purposes. Make sure if you do take them out to return them before midnite local time or they will be cured and cannot be reinfected or further spread the disease.
Quick Ball is my technique, too; however, it hasn't been working in Abundant Shrine, and so far I only caught one in a Quick Ball. Murkrow turned into my first Timer Ball catch, I believe. I am the authority on Pokéballs available in Black/White and how to use them, but all these Apricorn ones in Soul Silver I still have to get used to (I asked for Moon Balls first so I can try to get a Clefairy!).

I will infect all four with Pokérus. I just have to put someone in charge of the babies at the head of the party and have a Pokérus infector elsewhere in the group. Should be a quick procedure. Trade list as in the prior VM, no changes other than adding Pokérus; I will however substitute a wild Murkrow which I will go to look for in about two minutes. The baby will be retained. :)
I forgot something! Do you want Pokérus on these? If so, I'll infect them once you confirm it. I've already hatched the Eggs.
Will be appending updates as I go through my breeding and hatching this evening. I know it's about time for you to get up if not up already, so if I see no replies I'll just be adding to this VM.

Three Eggs just Dittoed. They'll be basic Shroomish, Houndour, and Murkrow eggs. Would have taken a lot of effort to try to get any Egg moves (EDIT: I got lucky on two however with move pools), and the two swarms are not available today or both by tomorrow. If you want a freshly caught Murkrow instead, let me know in a reply and I will grab one more from the shrine (Repeat Balls should work now, and I know to take WEAKER allies now LMAO).

    UPDATE 1:

    Eggs are:
    - Houndour, Adament nature, ♀ (Leer/Ember/Embargo/Flamethrower) - yes, it got four moves even with Dito, last two are definitely TMs too
    - Shroomish, Mild nature, ♂ (Absorb) - only move
    - Murkrow, Hardy nature, ♀ (Peck/Astonish/Faint Attack/Taunt) - another four move Ditto effort
You will get the Jolly ♂ Zorua. :)

Note to self: when hunting down a Pokémon less than Lv,50, do not take Pokémon in the 60s. Lowest I had was 57, I was forced to go after Murkrow without attacks. A Taunt ruined one attempt (I wasn't ready to chuck random balls and hoped Waterfall wouldn't kill it, and I knocked it out), and I started throwing Luxury Balls, Dusk Balls, Ultra Balls, and so on with the occasional Roost (also tampered with via Taunt, but I got enough).

Finally chucked a Timer Ball after ten turns and it stayed put. Since I know you're in bed now, I'll stand by in case you have a 6:30 a.m. visit here, in which case I'll look for a reply to this before bed: do you want a bred Murkrow, or a fresh catch? The fresh catch will likely be coming with a Repeat Ball, but I will be making a point of taking a weaker ally to the fight.
One more thing. You have a choice of Zoruas. pleb is picking one too, so if you want a certain one, claim it first. ;)

    Naive, ♂
    Gentle, ♂
    Jolly, ♂
    Bold, ♀

As for my age, I'm too old for Pokémon. LMAO I still play Mario games too. :)
I forgot about Milotic/Clamperl, but yes. Adding to the list. I put the four individual trades first, and as long as we have no connection issues, we'll do the evolving trades. I'll have two lines in my trade box that you'll be able to see; one will be the four trades, and second will be my Clamperls. There may still be a third when you arrive, but that will be trades with someone else. :)

Of course, if something does happen in the middle of trading, I will hang around as long as I can to try to reestablish connection; if we end up unable to finish for some reason, I'll keep the list and we can pick up from there in another day. I'll get onto the forums on my cell phone if there's any problem or if I can't see you, but otherwise I'll be following this list. Note that cell phone messages will be short and brief. :)

    List:
    1. Houndour for Poochyena (Route 9 swarm swap)
    2. Shroomish for Paras (Route 11 swarm swap)
    3. Murkrow for Misdreavus (Abundant Shrine exclusives swap)
    4. Zorua for Caterpie (miscellaneous swap for a White Forest exclusive)
5a. Clamperl (holding some DeepSea item) for Feebas (holding Prism Scale)
5b. Clamperl (holding some DeepSea item) for first evolved Clamperl (Huntail/Gorebyss)
5c. Milotic for second evolved Clamperl

I am lazy to hunt old messages now (and looking for Murkrow), so what's your FC again?
Hmm. I can definitely breed another Houndour (I think I only caught one), so that's an option. I was discussing a Houndour/Poochyena with someone else, but I am a little confused; I think that was the only thing we were doing and this would take care of the problem. (Of course if that person still needs a Houndour I can trade one, I just wouldn't need Poochyena any longer.)

So trades you're proposing, and I'm lining up as seems logical with me on left, are as follows:

    1. Houndour for Poochyena (Route 9 swarm swap)
    2. Shroomish for Paras (Route 11 swarm swap)
    3. Murkrow for Misdreavus (Abundant Shrine exclusives swap)
    4. Zorua for Caterpie (miscellaneous swap for a White Forest exclusive)

Is this correct? And are we sticking with 8:00 your time? I think if I recall rightly that the time for me is 1 p.m. I can plan lunch for that or a little earlier if you want. :) Tomorrow's my b'day, I want to stay out a while.
If you meant the Zorua breeding was not necessary, I've already done it for someone else NEway. Besides, it's going to be the core of my Trade Shoppe thread someday when I make one, and I will be collecting Heart Scales daily from the Driftveil Lady to help out with breeding various types of Zorua upon request (someday mine will be at Lv.100, currently Lv.72 and one of the first ready for the E4 soon).

So let's try to work out the details this afternoon (before bed for you).

You have a Paras (lvl 44), Metapod (lvl 59 or a Caterpie bred from it), and Misdreavus (lvl 58), I am going to get you a Shroomish (freshly bred or would you like me to expose it to battle up to a certain level before evolving?), a Murkrow (will visit the shrine this evening possibly, just finished my Zorua breeding test and it works perfectly), and what else?

If third is a Zorua, I have them currently with Leer/Foul Play/Faint Attack/Night Daze (it appears Night Slash got replaced by Leer, Start moves are apparently a prerequisite). If you don't want it souped up, I can give you a vanilla variety as well, and in my Trade Shoppe coming someday I will be offering TM inclusion over top of any move not wanted. :D

If third is something else other than Zorua (like a Black exclusive), let me know and I'll look for it.
Murkrow is not a swarm, so I'll just catch it normally. Shroomish IS a swarm, so I can breed it and do a battle with an Audino leading with it (swapping to one of my 60s to actually, you know, fight LMAO) to quickly get it to the 20s.
Apparently I was wrong; the mother's moves have nothing to do with what the hatched baby will know. I do have a Tepig that learned its Lv.37 move early, but I believe this was a move already known by the father (and also a TM), so that explains it. Thus, Night Daze may not happen, but I will ditto a female and try breeding the opposite genders together to see if I can get Night Daze.

EDIT: I will see what happens if both parents are the same species but the female does not know the move wanted. This will be an interesting experiment. I'd rather not have two Zoroarks (except maybe for the Battle Subway), but hey, if I can use it for trading material, I'm taking advantage of it! :D
since you listed Paras, I'll get you a Shroomish if you don't have one already. Any Egg move requests?

I haven't been to Abundant Shrine yet. I might make a trip now since you have the Misdreavus in the mix (there is a Black exclusive I have yet to catch and have to look up). I will just pull out all of my 70s Pokémon and some other high-leveled ones for the trip; since Zoroark is planned for the E4 again, I want it highly leveled. Coincidentally, I'm grinding him as I type.

Speaking of Zoroark, I figured out when I bred Emboar to get Tepigs with Egg moves that the strong moves known by Emboar breed into the Tepigs; their Lv.37 move is already learned upon birth., I'm sure the same can be said with Night Daze and Zorua. Same with Stone Edge and Geodude (another I'm doing for someone, but if you want that let me know as I've mentioned four here including Zorua).
I'm interested in all three! The only glitch is I'll have to breed a Caterpie from the Metapod/Butterfree, but I'd be just a bit fussy if I asked you to do that (even though it can evolve into Butterfree by Lv.10). Breeding my own gives me Egg move control based on what I have as well. :) Misdreavus is the Abundant Shrine White exclusive, definitely want that. And Paras solves one of my Swarm problems, leaving me three to go (Illumise, Minun, and Houndour - the second of which I see plenty of on Hoenn Route 110, so I can import is easil;y if nothing else someday).

Just to reconfirm, what am I trading for these three?
Anytime during the weekend? Check, I'll take that under advisement. If we can't meet up sooner, I know for sure I'll be in town on the 28th; the only question is whether I'll be on my own or with my family the entire time. If I go for lunch myself that day, I can make the trade there. Was it just the Milotic evolution you wanted? I'll do the Clamperls at the same time and that's two more off my list.

I'm also breeding Geodude and Zorua for someone, so if you'd like me to breed an extra, do you have anything else that I can't get in Black? (Yes, you can get Graveler in White, but I can also try to get you a Geodude with an Egg move perhaps; even without Egg moves, it takes out you having to breed Geodude to complete the Pokédex. Zorua will already know Night Daze, its signature move, if you want that.)

I will try to get somewhere for lunch this week and give you advance notice if possible (the day before, my time). That way you know I'll be around at 8 p.m. your time, perhaps earlier. :)
We are 7 hours apart then. Which makes sense, I'm GMT-5. So right now, it's 9:21 your time.

So your 6:30 a.m. is about 11:30 p.m. my time, your `1 p.m. is way too early for me, and your 8:00 p.m. is lunchtime for me (if 1:00 can be called "lunchtime").
Wait a second...let's make this easy. You sent that VM at 12:17 p.m. my time. It's now just a few minutes later. What time does my VM say?
Ouuuch. 6:30 a.m. = way too early, and 8 p.m. = way too late (I don't have Wifi for my 3DS where I am right now, so I go out to get on when I need to). Any chance of getting on during lunchtime?

Though I should ask your time zone? If PST, that would be 9:30 a.m. for me and doable.
I looked down your page and I think it was to get you the Milotic and me the two Clamperls evolved, right? I know I discussed doing the Clamperls with someone else, so whichever one gets it done first will remove those steps from the other. If you want to do that, I'm still looking to. :)

We'll have to decide a meetup time - I could travel this week and end up going for lunch somewhere with Wifi.
