In my opinion one of the strongest canines would have to be arcanine I mean it WAS going to be a legendary in gen 1 but they changed it to moltres to fit the bird theme they have going on better. I miss them too, to be honest. But I've recently just watched all the episodes of the hoenn saga again, it's pretty sad when May, Max, Drew and even Harley left us. Hmm I would have to say, without a doubt, Team Galactic I felt they had strong characters unlike other teams we've seen over the years and plus I agree with you on them impacting the DP series in some way or another.
