This sounds like loads of fun.

I'd like to take geodude, as golem is usually apart of my teams anyway.
We are allowed to trade right? (just to evolve graveler of course)

And I haven't played FR/LG in a bit, but can't you get thru rock tunnel without flash if you know where you're going?

Even if you don't know where you're going, Rock Tunnel is easy to navigate.

    Good Job

Did ya hire that archeologist to help you out :P

And I would try to save as many trainers unbattled for when you get your clefairy cause those battles are the best way to gain exp in my opinion.

  • Oh, yeah, I forgot I'll have to train the Clefairies... o.O

And no, actually xD. I looked for about 15 minutes on Friday... but to no avail. On Sunday, however, I was rummaging around on my desk looking for my Diamond version (which I never found, lol) and happen to catch a glimpse of a red GBA game under a dustpan. It makes sense that I find what I was looking for long after I had given up for the weekend. :p

Wayy back whennn . . . I had lost my yellow version for like 2 months, so I asked for people to get it for me on my birthday. I ended up getting 2 red versions, d'oh. But my aunt took me to the store to trade in a red for a yellow. Then on the way home I looked in a sunglasses holder and found my original yellow version!! That was a happy time. I had Blue/Red/Yellow(2x).

Too bad, I've lost them all these days. And I've replaced them all at least 3 times (like 5 times for the yellow)

    *update*

    -Made it to Celadon City
-Beat Erika (surprisingly easy, most the grass types were poisons as well . . . ground>poison)

    Male - Adamant Nature
    Rock Head

    -Obtained Silph Scope
    -Proceeded to Lavender City

-Defeated Rival (once again :D) inside Haunted Pokemon Tower
-Cleared Tower and Saved Mr. Fuji, Obtained Poke Flute

-Traveled down to Fuchia City, clearing all trainers along the way
-Beat Koga (very easy . . . ground >> poison)

-Went thru Safari Game, got Surf and Gold Teeth
-Gave teeth to dude and got Strength

-Went up Bike Path and cleared all trainers
-Remembered about getting Tea from old lady (I had bought a Fresh water, older players know why :D)

    -Entered Saffron City
-First stop, the Dojo (no reason in particular)
-Next stop, Silph Building (I think that's what it's called)

-Spent a good amount of time going thru each level and clearing ALL the trainers
-Fought Rival a whooped some bootah! (Blastoise down with one Double-Edge)
-Defeated Giovanni and got the Master ball

-Headed over to the Gym and easily cleared everyone and Got my 6th badge, just 2 more to go

    Golem (StoneCold) Lvl: 71
    Male - Adamant Nature
    Rock Head

Do you have to have only one or can you have more then one of the pokemon you've chosen?

You can have as many as you like.

I just figured that if I'm going to use geodude, he'll need to be a much higher level to battle past water, grass, or other ground type pokemon.

    Lol, nice.

I caught 2 geodude at the beginning, but I only trained one. The other was for double battles or in the event I had to use a revive on the other one (<-luckily it never came to that)

He's lvl 90 now and I just finished the Elite four the first time.

    *update*

-Flew to Fuchia City and headed down the water to Seafoam Island
-Navigated maze (skipped Articuno cause lvl 78 Golem would murder it)

-Surfed to Cinnabar Island, clearing all along the way

    -Headed to Pokemon Mansion
-Cleared trainers and got Secret Key

-Went to gym and swept the floor with those fire pokemon

-Beat Blaine and got 7th Badge

-Was surprised by Bill and traveled to Island One
-Bill sent me to Island Two to give a meteor to a game corner dude
-Game corner dude sent me to Island Three to save his little girl from a Hypno (lvl 30, too easy)

-Rescued Girl and gave meteor to Game Corner Dude

-Returned to Bill who let me know that he'd fixed a machine
-Me and Bill Returned to Cinnabar Island

-Surfed up from Cinnabar to Pallet Town

-Headed to Viridian City Gym to get my final Badge!
-Beat Giovanni and received the EARTHBADGE

-Headed towards Victory Road and Defeated Rival

-Made my way thru Victory Road and approached the Indigo Plateau

-Flew to Celadon and bought 4k coins to buy flamethrower from slots (just in case)

-Began first trial of the Elite Four

-Loriel: No probs, pretty much used Rock slide to wipe the floor with those Ice types
-Bruno: Again, no problem Earthquake and Magnitude work wonders against fighters
-Agatha: This is where I use up all my Rock slides cause it's the only move effective agains ghost. (only had 2pp left for other trainers)
-Lance: Not as hard as I thought. Was able to save a Rock slide for his dragonite and the rest went down without much effort
-Rival: NOW he decides to get tough . . . That exeggutor is one tough cookie with sleep powder and giga drain. Not to mention have to maintain stamina for next 2 . . .

    This battle went as follows:
    Rival sends out Pidgeot
I use Double-Edge and Pidgeot is down.

    Rival sends out Rhydon
I use Earthquake and Rhydon is down.

    Rival sends out Blastoise
I use Earthquake and Blastoise is down.

    Rival sends out Exeggutor . . .
I use Double-Edge and he has sliver of life
Exeggutor uses Giga drain and I have sliver of life and he's 3/4th full
I use Double-Edge again and Exeggutor is down.

    Rival sends out Alakazam
    I use Full Restore
Alakazam uses Psychic and I'm down 1/4 health. Boo-Yah!!
I use Earthquake and Alakazam is down.

    Rival sends out Arcanine
I use Earthquake and Arcanine is down.

Woot! I am the new champion.

^-- This was like my 10th restart before I was able to get thru it. Flamethrower was no use because Golem did more damage to Exeggutor with Double-Edge.

    Golem (StoneCold) Lvl: 90
    Male - Adamant Nature
    Rock Head
    <Earthquake
    <Magnitude
    <Rock Slide
    <Double-Edge

-Watched the credits and then appeared back in Pallet Town
-Prof. Oak tells me that I need to catch more pokemon (only 20 in pokedex lol)

-I fly to Indigo Plateau once more to face the Elite Four

-This time I went thru everyone without a hiccup. Exeggutor never used GIga drain and his sleeping powder missed. It still took like 6 Double-Edges because my Rival used like 4 Full Restores.

    I've Finished the challenge!!

    Golem (StoneCold) Lvl: 93
    Male - Adamant Nature
    Rock Head
    <Earthquake
    <Magnitude
    <Rock Slide
    <Double-Edge

That's the highest level I've ever trained any pokemon without Rare Candies. EVER!
    Boy was that fun.

    Great Challenge Jolly!
