Let's make a list of hacks that just NEED to be made

An idea I have always liked is a hack that limits what types are available to you, depending on the scenario.
EG.
-A Post-Apocalypic scenario would limit you to Bug, Poison, Dark, Ghost and maybe Steel types.
-A Great Flood scenario would limit it you to Flying, Water (duh), Ice and maybe the occasional grass type.

Another idea I like is one where it would allow you to choose your own path. A truly open world Pokemon Game.

There are no ways to catch legendaries/mythicals before the main story is complete. The post-game starts when you speak to an NPC that becomes available (although somewhat hard to find) after finishing the story. The post-story has its own antagonist, a man who wishes to catch all the legendaries and mythicals of the gen IV national dex. At first you thwart him, but later team up with him, as he aquires the opposites that you do (i.e. you can only get Groudon but in the double battles where you team up, he has Kyogre). Every now and then, you battle with opposites (same thing, except this time one per team. You only battle with Groudon and he only battles with Kyogre) and you cannot continue until you are victorious. When you are, he hands over that Pokemon and you can now go to catch the third (in this case Rayquaza). You cannot continue through the post-game story until catch or KO the third. If it gets KO'd, that's it - you can only try again by reloading your last save. At the end, this character (who then reveals his alias to be the Legend Hunter) says that he'll go into hiding. In-game events to catch the mythical Pokemon (also one-shot chances) become available for use in any order. If you find the Legend Hunter before catching/KO'ing all the mythicals, he'll just ignore your battle request and say "No, you're not ready..." When all the mythicals have been caught, he'll finally accept the request and make a speech before turning around to battle you with lv100, 6IV Pokemon with battle-ready EVs. You'll honestly be reccd if you aren't ready

To recap the catching system in a tl;dr in case I was confusing: you can only face the Legend Hunter the final time - the final boss - after all mythical Pokemon through gen IV have been caught or KO'd. If you never KO a legendary, you'll have all of the legendaries from every game through gen IV in your Pokedex

I would like to see a romhack made like that you start in a home town living poorly and under the reign of a tyrant and his followers he lives like a king cause he managed to caught the legendary (insert legendary here ) then one day your mother is forced to work but she is to tired but they keep pressing and she collapse and that is when you had enough and start fighting back so you go to the resistance hideout and. They provided you with the power to fight back. Choose starter here
They give you 10 controlballs and explain that since they reign of the tyrant there áre few wild pokemon left so they had to make new balls that let you capture the oppents pokemon but this comes with a backlash the pokemon will resent you at first and will disobey sometimes ( happiness system). But that if you threat them right they will warmup too you

Now for the catch in this game pokeballs are gone captureballs is the new thing you lower the hp for pokemon just like normal but you take them from trAiners but likewise they can steal your pokemon

I dont know if this would be possible at all but if someone can do it please do!!!!!!

We've seen hacks based around other franchises like Zelda, DBZ, Mario, etx. I'd like to see a Kingdom Hearts hack where we catch Heartless, Nobodies, Unversed, and Dream Eaters instead. It'd be fun having each city be a Disney location and instead of Pokèballs, the player uses Cards

I've always wanted to see a hack with all the gyms in one town. You beat one gym, leave and explore the region, progress the plot, which unlocks the next gym, which unlocks more of the region to explore, and so on. Sort of like Spirit Tracks.

- A hack that makes fun of things often done in lower quality ROM hacks. (Everything is overpowered, random usage of non-Pokemon (not even Fakemon) characters as Pokemon yet still have actual Pokemon in there, usage of any method aside from Touched's for Mega Evolutions (IE: Use Mega Stone on Charizard to get Mega Charizard), terrible grammar etc.)

- A hack that makes fun of things often done in lower quality ROM hacks. (Everything is overpowered, random usage of non-Pokemon (not even Fakemon) characters as Pokemon yet still have actual Pokemon in there, usage of any method aside from Touched's for Mega Evolutions (IE: Use Mega Stone on Charizard to get Mega Charizard), terrible grammar etc.)

Joke games became a big fad for a while in Zelda Classic circles. Personally, i never saw the point in making a purposefully bad game, but to each his own.

I'd like to see a big community project where a bunch of hackers contribute their fakemon to create one massive game with thousands of catchable monsters. FR supports 4 OW maps, natively, and with expanded memory, there's nothing truly stopping the community from making a massive world.

Also, something akin to PokeMMO, but with fakemon and original regions, would be awesome. The one huge drawback i personally find with most hack games is that you can't enjoy the game with friends, at all. To me, trading and battles against other actual players are the best parts of the series.

My Idea: Pokemon Zero version??? idk whatever name sounds cool
Base: Firered or Ruby rom please (if someone decides to use)
Details: MCs 17 years (age approriate)
Basically you start off hearing how bad the evil group (team whatever) is and start off the game normally. By like the 4 or 5 gym battle, the professor calls you back and sends you and your rival on a mission to defeat and destroy the group. Turns out that you were only clearing the way for your Professor to complete his evil plans. Yes, your professor has betrayed you, he's evil. Now after you earn let's say your 7th badge, the old leader of (team whatever) approaches pleading for help to stop the now evil professor. You and your Rival decide to start up your only army of trainers you fought along the way, Gym Leaders, and former Team Whatever name. Your army vs. Professor's army. You defeat all of the Professor's Aides, (because in every lab there's like 4 NPC Aides) the professor disappears. You earn your 8th badge, face off against the elite four. Become Champ, then hear news from your Army's scout that the professor has captured a legendary and is trying to destroy the world and he has taken your hometown hostage. You head home to face the evil professor.
After-Story: Let's add Kanto region for fun times at the end. HEY THEN YOU can face your #1 grunt, Rival, Blue from Kanto, and Red from Kanto in a World Pokemon Tournament....

I think it would be really interesting for there to be a storyline where you are in fact a pokemon scientist and researcher, you have a goal of deeply studying every pokemon that is known to exist. Why would you have such a goal... because you aim to be the creator of the fully expanded comprehensive pokedex. You would start your journey with a basic pokedex that is only a regional pokedex of the current region you are in and a special device that is designed for note taking. Every time you encounter a wild pokemon and catch it, you will have its slot in the pokedex unlocked, but it is lacking in information. While leveling up your pokemon, you will record notes about its move pool and various other things such as more detail into its attitudes and habitats. Eventually once you fill out the National pokedex, you will start seeing pokemon that are impossible to record in the pokedex because they are not naturally indigenous to the region you are in. At this point, you become the real researcher where you are designing your notes to implement into the new pokedex you are designing. This will create opportunities throughout the main storyline where most of your goals are self imposed to find extremely rare pokemon that are merely known as myths inside the game, maybe you'll even chase down leads across town of people who have heard various "rumors" about strange activity in certain areas that are believed to only be caused by rare pokemon that are not supposed to actually exist in that particular region.

Going to gyms is still important, but rather than just chasing after the simple badges, you are chasing leads of information. Gym leaders are extremely well educated in the pokemon they train and are thus stuffed full of useful information, a lot of them may even have rare pokemon that are not well known about throughout the region and they will give you the opportunity to study their pokemon in the form of a battle. Yes they will give you a badge when you beat them, so that you "may" participate in the pokemon league if you choose to, but they will also... look over your research notes, and put a stamp of approval in the design of their badge on your paper confirming that you have in fact acquired their knowledge in the form of notation, which was your goal in the first place.

It would be interesting if when you make it all the way to being able to participate in the pokemon league, your intial response is to turn it down since it was not the intended goal of your journey, but when someone informs you that the leaders within the league are carrying extremely unique pokemon that can only be found in other regions, you then decide to take on the pokemon league with the idea that you intend to acquire as much information as possible about these rare pokemon upon defeating each of the leaders.

For laughs, I thought it would be funny if your rival was sort of a cocky stuck up trainer who thinks he's the best pokemon trainer, his goal is to make his way to the top of the pokemon league. He's sort of a bully and he picks on you for being a nerdy pokemon researcher rather than being a cool hardcore battler. You make it clear to him how your mind is focused on research, but at the same time he challenges you to battles constantly just to bully you... and then this hardcore trainer loses to you over and over again. He starts to get really frustrated about how you can be such a much better battler than he is, considering you're actual lack of interest in competitive pokemon battling. Over time throughout the story, you make it clear to him that it's because of your intricate studying of pokemon, it has allowed you to masterfully command pokemon, thus unintentionally making you a pokemon battle master through the persistent research you have been following to build your new pokedex system.

I thought it would also be interesting, instead of having an evil team that you are constantly beating into submission, I thought it would be kind of neat if you had something like an evil shady stalker character who tries to follow you around whenever you are tracking extremely rare pokemon, with the idea of the bad character trying to jump ahead of you to capture and control the powerful legendary pokemon for his own various schemes, which just for fun would change with each different Legendary he tries to capture ahead of you.

That's more or less my two cents on a pokemon game plot that's just a little different from the standard style.

4 regional tournaments,a world championship, start with a Celebi with the follow-me script(hopefully) that will take back to the pre-apocalyptic time and a lot more!!

Like as in benjamin button you start of your journey with a stage 3 evolution charizard blastoise etc. at level 36
But there is a new evil team looking to make pokemon dissepear by reverting time
I think it could be done like So every time you battle a wild encounter or a trainer battle the exp you normally get will now be taken down like if you get 535 exp you level down 535exp points
So it will be a real challenge managing your pokemon and by the end of the game you don,t have a level 3 charmander even gym battles become something to think about do i use my strong pokemon to defeat the gym or evil team leaders and lose expierience or do i search for pokemon strong enough to defeat them Best of all would be if post game you defeated the evil team and now pokemon can grow again
If i had any knowledge of hacking i would do it myself

A second thought The concept is this you start off like normal but in this world you dont get to just become a pokemon trainer because fuck it your 10 and ready to go you must instead prove yourself worthy of becoming a pokemon master by trial aka the gym e4 and champion
So you start of with the normal starter. Grass water fire But you cant catch any pokemon instead after each gym you get another 3 option choice in style of that gym or hm An example let say you have a bug gym You get 1 venipede 2 catterpie 3 sewaddle So at the e4 you would have a well balancend. Team and after you become champion you deserve the right to use pokeballs to catch them all with opens up post game legendary hunts not to mention it would be the ultimate nuzlocke challenge if you have end the main game with 8 pokemon and the replay value is there with 735471 combinations of teams to complete the game

Like FireRed but with Johto instead of the Sevii Islands -- a reverse of GSC. ;) I think it would be pretty neat to see, an expanded post-game for FireRed.
