    3.0 Dev Bulletin 1
Tectonic 3.0 will launch October 20th.

    Monumental
"Post-game challenges!", the masses demanded. And we have listened: Look upon the Battle Monument, ye players, and despair! The Battle Monument is a post-game location where you can fight gauntlets of 5 randomly selected trainers. Battles here involve a full team of 6 Pokémon, with legendary Pokémon prohibited from use. Over 60 enemy teams have been carefully handcrafted by @Darlvon to push you to the limits of your strategic ability. Many of these teams are based on the ones submitted by Player Survey respondents! A full suite of rewards has been prepared for those who prove themselves at the Battle Monument. Look forward to future bulletins for further details!

    The Healing Process
Consumable healing items have to do a lot to justify themselves against the Aid Kit. Therefore, in 3.0 we're making these tweaks:
All "potions" will be able to heal 'mons even when fainted (Revives are cut)
Moo-Moo Milks will fully heal both HP and status, and will be purchasable from vending machines
Some food items will gain unique effects when they heal a Pokémon
Increased the healing (and cost) of Soda Pop and Lemonade

    What's Old Is New
Our stance on including Generation 9 Pokémon is clear: Not gonna happen. But...…. can't we have just a little gen 9, as a treat? Sure! 3.0 will treat you all to generation 9's evolutions for older mons: Annihilape, Dudunsparce, Farigiraf, and Kingambit!

    3.0 Dev Bulletin 2
Tectonic 3.0 will launch October 20th.

    Tri As You Might
Rumors are flying about Tri Island, a landmass recently discovered off the coast of Makya. By the time you arrive, eager explorers are already competing to exploit the island's resources. With 3 whole legendary Pokémon on the line, there's no way to avoid it: You'll just have to fight your way through!

    Monument to Your Greatness
In Bulletin 1 we teased the Battle Monument, a post-game challenge where you can earn Battle Points (BP). It's time for details!

    BP rewards:
    1 win: 3 BP
    2 wins: 6 BP
    3 wins: 12 BP
    4 wins: 25 BP
    5 wins: 50 BP

BP is earned each run, and consecutive runs have no effect.

    Consumables shop:
    3 BP: EXP Candy XL
    15 BP: MasterBall
    50 BP: Gleam Powder
100 BP: Relic Crown ($300k sell item)

    Key items shop:
50 BP: Box link, which lets you access your PC from anywhere
50 BP: Styling Kit, which lets you modify your Pokémon's style points yourself
75 BP: Sweet Tooth, which makes EXP candies 15% more efficient
200 BP: Shiny Charm, which doubles your shiny encounter chance (stacks with the LuxTech one)

    Numbers subject to change!

    Leftover Topics
Based on feedback, we're making some changes to how leftovers are acquired:

Wild Munchlax no longer have Leftovers
-1 leftovers can be looted in an early-game town
-Leftovers, and other held items at East-End-Exclusives, have been moved to a new shop in the Tournament Grounds
-A new item inspired by leftovers will also be added to the game

    2023-09-24_07_19_23.317.png

    PC Upgrades
Thanks to Jbsundown, we've adding some new Quality of Life improvements to Pokémon Storage:

-You can now search your PC for a Pokémon based on nickname, species, or type
-You can now sort a box, or the entire PC, by nickname, species name, dex number, type, or level
-You can also mark boxes to protect them from full PC sorting

More sorting/searching options may be added in the future.

I'm liking this a lot so far, but I wish defeated trainers didn't force you to battle them again. Can they be made optional or battled only when talked to?

kind of wished there was romance that could be a side thing because it is not important but it is about 2 brothers facing off for their mothers approval right so adding romance to the game with the mc and a few other characters cause it could add a new dynamic to the game like it could ether be a postgame thing or side content

You can make them go away if you perfect the fight (defeat them without having a mon on your team faint).

There are romance sub-plots in the game!

Any strats for the battle to get the eevee? I can't beat him lol

A lot of players progress through the next level cap and then return for difficult optional content! If you're determined to defeat it at level 15 then using held items and utilizing style values goes a long way!

The fourth patch of 3.0 is now up on the Tectonic Launcher!
You can also download the full version: Here
Or just the modified files: Here

3.0.4 is larger than a typical patch. Better to think of it as a minor update! Check out the changelog: Here

This update includes some possibly save destabilizing changes. We've ran thorough tests to make sure they work properly, but I'd still recommend taking a backup of your saves, just in case.

We are pleased to announce that we've reached a major milestone: The download link for Pokemon Tectonic's most recent release has passed 10 thousand clicks! At the same time, our Discord server has passed the 4k members mark. The Tectonic team is very excited that so many people are enjoying our game, and that so many of you have chosen to spread the word about the good times you've had with it. Thank you!

Good news! The work on 3.0.5 has expanded so much that it has evolved into 3.1!

We're targeting a tentative release date of March 15th. Feast your eyes:

    Make Some Noise
We're always looking to add new tools that help you shape your experience. 3.1 introduces a new tool item called the Noise Machine. A modal item, it will let you repel wild encounters, or make them much more likely!

    Out of Sprite
Our new spriter @M1ntyFr3shD4n has taken on the challenge of respriting some of our oldest regional forms. We'll be drip-feeding the results to you across the future update-feed posts. Today, take a look at a remade Makyan Tangela and Tangrowth!

    mtangela_line_preview.png

    Infomatics
Speaking of re-spriting, we've finally completed an important makeover: The Battle Info screen! Both the main screen and the individual battler screen were originally designed during the Pokémon Tectonic alpha. They should now be a lot more readable, and therefore, a lot more useful.

    ¡Mejorando!
Through hard work and close collaboration with our Spanish translator @Valrex, Furret Enjoyer, we've stamped out dozens of issues that affected the Spanish version of Pokémon Tectonic. We're very grateful for all the attention we've received from the Spanish-speaking community, and also for the feedback they've shared that's made these improvements possible.

If you're interested in translating Pokémon Tectonic to another language, please send me a direct message!

    3.1 Update Post!
Community feedback matters! Today's update post features changes made by members of the community, as well as changes spurred by community feedback.

    Refreshing
Second in our suite of regional form resprites are Makyan Sinistea and Polteageist, again courtesy of M1ntyFr3shD4n. Don't they look delicious?

    Is it Dark in Here?
Rejoice, those who value their eyes, for LunaFlare, Number Cruncher has saved you! She put in the work to create a mod that expanded Dark Mode to cover nearly every menu in the game. Come 3.1, this mod will now be included in the base game. Want to put your own touch on Pokémon Tectonic? Come on down to our discord and learn how!

    Stock in Trade
In a game with as many Pokémon trades as Pokémon Tectonic, its important that they be fun and streamlined. Coming in 3.1, you can now select the Pokémon to trade away from your entire PC (or your party, as normal). This will also apply to NPCs that ask you to merely show them a 'mon. We'll be taking advantage of this by adding 2 more of those in 3.1.

    Potpourri
    Random updates, go!
    • A cute little popup with jingle will now play to mark when you've unlocked a boat travel location
    • The "interact with a television" segment of the Tri Island quest should now be obvious due to a new visual effect
    • The ribbons tab has been removed from the Pokémon Summary menu to make it clear its not used
    • A new NPC in the Novo College Fossil Hall will now tell you about the Galar Fossil Reviver in Team Chasm HQ
    • Moved some Medical Upgrades around to make it less likely you'll end up with very few even into the lategame
    • Abilities that set field effects now play the animation for that field effect when they activate
    • Added custom sprites for all items that were lacking them
    • "Avatar narration" now displays with a custom window located in the center of the screen

The second patch of 3.1 is now up on the Tectonic Launcher Tectonic Updater! The name of that program has been changed for clarity, alongside tweaking it to download the game to its current location, rather than to a folder in the C drive. If that's more to your liking, grab it in 🎮-downloads! It'll also be included in all future Tectonic versions to let people who downloaded the game manually still have easy access to an "update the game please" button.

You can also download the full version: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ixx2tQa720EzhIugyqqCCCVsPhR-TxC8/view
Or just the modified files: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1j08c1pIvm9HrDLeiAyO1aAf4TSwrb-74/view

Patch 3.1.2 is relatively large. Here's a rundown:

    • Reworked the Move Tutoring screen to add room for the full move info
    • Reworked interacting with Pokémon in PC storage to also use the "tiling cards" style of UI
    • Added 5 more devs to the Pokémon Tectonic development building
    • Reworked the Deerling gift event in the house in the Eleig River Crossing to be less complex/confusing
    • New "Battle Handlers" help modders to add new abilities
    • A suite of balance changes and bug fixes

while interesting the fact that other trainers can keep switching their Pokémon right after they attack without me being able to the same is annoying especially when they do it after every attack meaning I cant get a good attack off before they make my Pokémon faint.
