Tied. Had to look up if Alolan Persian can even learn Bug moves... Skitter Smack and U-Turn via TM. Neither of which we have access to atm. I'll join F).

    A) Offensively; nothing but attacking moves and prioritizes super-effective attacks if possible. - 2 votes
    B) Balanced; Uses both Attacking moves as well as non-attacking moves. Prioritizes super-effective attacks if possible. Uses attacking moves 66% of the time on average.
    C) Defensively. Only attacks once every 3 turns. Uses the other two turns for non-attacking moves.

4-2) The level 26 Vanillite can be avoided if we don't go to the room East of here. The Bibarel will only attack if we try to pass next to it or if we attack it. Do we fight the Vanilitte and/or Bibarel?
    A) Fight both the Vanillite and the Bibarel. - 1 vote
    B) Fight only the Vanillite. - 1 vote
    C) Fight only the Bibarel.
    D) Fight neither (requires going to the room South of here or doubling back North to head to a different room in the room vote)

Tied. Well there's no way around the Bibarel to the Evolution Crystal or for recruiting Sudowoodo without passing by next to it. And that evolution Crystal would be great for our Phantump. I'll join A).

5-1) We have a Blowback Orb. Do we use the Blowback Orb in this room?
    A) Yes, use a Blowback Orb on the level 27 Vanillite.

    E) Yes, use a Slumber Orb on the Bibarel and avoid fighting it.
    F) Yes, use a Slumber Orb on the Bibarel and start a fight with it being asleep.
    G) No, don't use a Slumber Orb now. - 2 votes

5-4) A See-Trap Orb reveals all traps in the current room and the lead Pokemon will avoid stepping on them if possible. Do we use a See-Trap Orb in this room?
    A) Yes, use a See-Trap Orb.
    B) No, don't use a See-Trap Orb now. - 2 votes

5-5) A Slumber Orb puts an enemy to sleep so we can pass it without fighting it or start the fight with it asleep. Do we use a second Slumber Orb in this room?

    B) Yes, use a Lob Orb on the level 26 Vanillite
    C) Yes, use a Lob Orb on the Bibarel.
    D) No, don't use a Lob Orb now. - 2 votes

    G) Yes, recruit Sudowoodo and send Squawkabilly to the hideout. - 1 vote
    H) No, don't recruit Sudowoodo now.

Tied. Keeping dealing with obstacles in mind... I'm joining G).
Sudowoodo's Rock typing will let us gain access to the room blocked by Strength Boulders that contains a single Dragon type (Room 13 on the map).
Squawkabilly's Flying type is redundant as we have another Flying type on the team as well as a Water type for water traversal. And Normal type will give us some additional item drops, but only if Squawkabilly is in the lead. That's strictly speaking about dealing with obstacles and exploration benefits though.
I would like to have a Normal type around for that Ghost immunity, however gaining access to that Strength boulder blocked room is more beneficial atm imo.

    8) What do we do with the items in this room?
    A) Pick up all items. - 1 vote
    B) Pick up only the items that don't result in fighting the level 26 Vanillite.

    O) Pick up the Green Shard and the Yellow Shards.

    X) Pick up the Cheri Berry, the Red Shard and the Evolution Crystal.
    Y) Pick up the Cheri Berry, the Green Shard and the Red Shard.
    Z) Pick up the Evolution Crystal and the Green Shard and the Red Shard.

Tied. Joining A) for the evolution Crystal and so that we can recruit Sudowoodo.

    9) Which room do we go to next?
    A) Go to room 1 from it's right Southern entry.
    B) Go to room 1 from it's left Southern entry.
    C) Go to room 2 from it's Southern entry.

    Q) Go to room 11 from the Eastern entrance.

    W) Go to the Merchant Stand.
    X) Go to the Merchant Stand first and then go to the Scovillain Society as well.
    Y) Go to the Scovillain Society.

10-1) We've picked up Swalot's Black Sludge and can go return it to him to complete the quest. Go turn in the "Swalot's Sludge" quest to Swalot?
    A) Yes, go turn in the quest with Alolan Persian in the lead. - 1 vote
    B) Yes, go turn in the quest with Simisear in the lead.
    C) Yes, go turn in the quest with Hawlucha in the lead. - 1 vote
    D) Yes, go turn in the quest with Simipour in the lead.
    E) Yes, go turn in the quest with Squawkabilly in the lead.
    F) No, don't turn in the quest now.

Tied. Hawlucha is 1 level higher so as far as maximizing experience goes that would be better.
Hawlucha would also have to deal with both the traps that it sets off in this room + any traps in the room above it that Persian ignored though... which might stack up too much.
Then again I see only 2 damaging traps in total.. and a poison trap that we won't trigger until either all the way at the end or not at all. And Hawlucha can Drain Punch on the Bibarel to recover health from the first damaging trap. Might actually be fairly safe tbh.
    I'll join C).

10-2) Hisuian Lilligant is one of the Pokemon that Machoke needs to deliver to. After navigating this room, Do we go to the Hisuian Lilligant so that Machoke can make his delivery?
    A) Yes, go make Machoke's Delivery to the Hisuian Lilligant. - 2 votes
    B) No, don't do Machoke's Delivery to the Hisuian Lilligant now.

    Spoiler:

We don't have anyone hold the Silver Powder. Simisear doesn't learn Amnesia. We switch the lead to Hawlucha.
We fight any enemies offensively and fight both the Vanillite and the Bibarel. We don't use any Orbs in this room.
We don't heal up after defeating 2 opponents. We recruit Sudowoodo and send Squawkabilly to the hideout.
We pick up all items and go to room 14 on the map next.
We go turn in the "Swalot's Sludge" quest with Hawlucha in the lead and go make Machoke's Delivery to the Hisuian Lilligant before heading to the next room.

The path we take is as follows (Yellow -> Orange -> Green):

    dungeonescapemove45-png.156397

Stepped on a Blast Trap. Hawlucha takes 21 damage.
Stepped on a Seal Trap. Hawlucha's Brick Break was sealed.
Stepped on a Mud Trap. Hawlucha's Defense fell 2 stages.
Stepped on a Sticky Trap. A Trapbust Orb became sticky. Our Other Items Pocket is full, so the second Trapbust Orb has been sent to Abra Storage.

Stepped on a Spiky Trap while on the way to Swalot and Hisuian Lilligant. Hawlucha takes 25 damage.
Stepped on a Sticky Trap while on the way to Swalot and Hisuian Lilligant. TM022 Smart Strike became sticky and can't be used until it's cleansed.

    The fights:
    Spoiler:

Jangmo-o hatched at level 1 and got to benefit from the experience for turning in the quest (which was after clearing the room after all). Pokemon that hatch from eggs are the only recruitable Pokemon that can have IV's. As far as IV's for hatched Pokemon go I kept it simple: I will roll a random number from 1 to 4 to determine the amount of 'Best' IV's. After that I will roll which stat they are for by rolling for a random number from 1 to 6. Jangmo-o ended up rolling 3 Best IV's into Attack, Defense and Sp. Defense. I've indicated it on the Party image. The stats that don't get a 'Best' IV will have no IV's.

Earned 1.960 Experience for turning in the Swalot's Sludge quest.
Hawlucha leveled up to level 30, Jangmo-o leveled up to level 11, Simisear has leveled up to level 29, Alolan Persian has leveled up to level 29, Simipour has leveled up to level 30.

Sudowoodo & Jangmo-o can both learn multiple moves here. In case of a conflict between votes they will be prioritized in the order of the questions listed. So for Jangmo-o that would be 4-6) -> 4-7) -> 4-8).

    D) Yes, switch Jangmo-o to Simisear's slot in the party.
    E) No, leave Jangmo-o where it is now.

Mainly offering this due to the level difference between it and the rest of our party. If the lead faints the Pokemon in the second slot would have to take over, and then the third, and so on.

6-1) Tadbulb is one of the Pokemon that Machoke needs to deliver to. Do we go make Machoke's delivery to the Tadbulb?
    A) Yes, go make Machoke's Delivery to the Tadbulb.
    B) No, don't do Machoke's Delivery to the Tadbulb now.

We can help the two Tadbulb confront the Tympole and Palpitoad. Doing so will make one of them recruitable and earn us 15 Team Reputation.
We don't need to do this straight away, but this event is time sensitive. So if we leave it for later there will be a room timer (5 rooms navigated) after which the event will automatically fail and the Tadbulb will become unavailable for recruiting if we have not gone back for this by then.
6-2) Do we help out the Tadbulb?
    A) Yes, help out the Tadbulb.
    B) Leave helping out the Tadbulb for later.
    C) No, don't help out the Tadbulb.

    A) Offensively; nothing but attacking moves and prioritizes super-effective attacks if possible.

    A) Yes, recruit Tadbulb and send her to the hideout.
    B) Yes, recruit Tadbulb and send Hawlucha to the hideout.
    C) Yes, recruit Tadbulb and send Jangmo-o to the hideout.

    A) Yes, use a See-Trap Orb.
    B) No, don't use a See-Trap Orb now.

7-3) A Slumber Orb puts an enemy to sleep so we can pass it without fighting it or start the fight with it asleep. In this case, if we help out the Tadbulb, we can only use it to start a fight with the enemy being asleep. Do we use a Slumber Orb in this room?
    A) Yes, use a Slumber Orb on the Tympole from the first double battle.
    B) Yes, use a Slumber Orb on the Palpitoad from the first double battle.
    C) Yes, use a Slumber Orb on the Tympole from the second double battle.

7-4) A Slumber Orb puts an enemy to sleep so we can pass it without fighting it or start the fight with it asleep. In this case, if we help out the Tadbulb, we can only use it to start a fight with the enemy being asleep. Do we use a second Slumber Orb in this room?

    C) Yes, use a Lob Orb on the Tympole from the second double battle.
    D) Yes, use a Lob Orb on the Palpitoad from the second double battle.
    E) No, don't use a Lob Orb now.

7-6) We have a Lob Orb. Do we use a second Lob Orb in this room?
    A) Yes, use a Lob Orb on the Tympole from the first double battle.
    B) Yes, use a Lob Orb on the Palpitoad from the first double battle.
    C) Yes, use a Lob Orb on the Tympole from the second double battle.

    B) Yes, eat an Oran Berry. Heals up to 100 HP.
    C) Yes, eat a Sitrus Berry. Heals up to 250 HP.
    D) No, don't heal up.

Note: If we don't help out the Tadbulb now the results of the heal vote and the combat related orb votes will be ignored.

    A) Pick up all items.
    B) Pick up only TM003 Thunderbolt.

    Y) Go to the Scovillain Society.

11-1) After navigating the current room, but before heading to the next one, we can go heal at the Hot Spring. Should we heal?
    A) Yes, go heal at the Hot Spring.
    B) No, don't heal at the Hot Spring.

11-2) After navigating the current room, but before heading to the next one, we can use a Cleanse Orb to clear our Inventory of Sticky items. Use a Cleanse Orb?
    A) Yes, use a Cleanse Orb to clear our Inventory of sticky items.
    B) No, don't use a Cleanse Orb now.

Note: 11-2) is mainly in preparation for an additional vote later this week (Probably either Wednesday or Thursday).
I really want to offer a Party member switch as well as the option for unloading/retrieving some items from Abra Storage, but for a while now the updates have been pretty packed with votes already so I keep ending up omitting them. The Cleanse Orb vote is so that we can potentially ditch/retrieve more items. Our TM pocket is now full as well so those will also be included for those item votes as well.

1-1) B) Sassy (+Sp. Defense, -Speed) Shores up its weaker defense. Would be fine with Relaxed too.

1-2) B) Impish (+Defense, -Sp. Attack) Does not like Clanging Scales. Mainly learns physical moves by level-up. Also got the good IVs in Attack.

    2) A) Bulletproof. Solid choices all around. Went with Bulletproof because of all the strong moves nullified. Does not expect to see Perish Song for a long while. Will likely see fewer powder moves from here on. Typically learns those at low levels.

3-1) C) Yes, have Sudowoodo hold an Oran Berry.

3-2) C) Yes, have Jangmo-o hold an Oran Berry.

4-1) E) No, don't learn Toxic. Kind of slow. May also choose it multiple times on Balanced.

    4-2) E) No, don't learn Toxic.

    4-3) A) Yes, forget Block.

    4-4) B) Yes, forget Mimic.

4-5) D) Yes, forget Tearful Look. Just removing all those non-attacking moves. Considers Tearful Look pretty okay, though.

4-6) E) No, don't learn Protect. Not useful.

    4-7) B) Yes, forget Leer.

4-8) D) Yes, forget Focus Punch. Does not want Focus Punch to get selected.

5-1) D) Yes, switch to Alolan Persian. Avoids Hawlucha because of the -2 Defense. Could get one-shot by a super low health Flail. Leaves...Simipour and Alolan Persian. Hopes for strong Bite flinches.

5-2) A) Yes, switch Jangmo-o to the back of our party to the bottom slot.

6-1) A) Yes, go make Machoke's Delivery to the Tadbulb.

6-2) A) Yes, help out the Tadbulb. Not opposed to going back for an evolved Phantump either.

6-3) A) Offensively; nothing but attacking moves and prioritizes super-effective attacks if possible.

6-4) C) Yes, recruit Tadbulb and send Jangmo-o to the hideout.

7-1) D) Yes, use a Blowback Orb on the Palpitoad from the second double battle. Sure, why not?

7-2) B) No, don't use a See-Trap Orb now. How many traps can there be?

7-3) B) Yes, use a Slumber Orb on the Palpitoad from the first double battle. Fears double battles, particularly with a meh matchup. Could always buy more.

7-4) D) Yes, use a Slumber Orb on the Palpitoad from the second double battle.

7-5) E) No, don't use a Lob Orb now. Picked Slumber Orbs above. Should do the job.

    7-6) E) No, don't use a Lob Orb now.

    7-7) E) No, don't use a Totter Orb now.

    8) B) Yes, eat an Oran Berry. Heals up to 100 HP. Likely unnecessary with the Slumber Orbs. Bought a lot of Oran Berries for safety and to do things like this.

    9) A) Pick up all items. Ooh, Thunderbolt. Makes Tadbulb useful sooner. Actually wants it in the party now. Went back and changed an earlier choice.

    10) X) Go to the Merchant Stand first and then go to the Scovillain Society as well. Shopping time.

11-1) A) Yes, go heal at the Hot Spring. Duh.

11-2) A) Yes, use a Cleanse Orb to clear our Inventory of sticky items. Could buy more, so sure.

  • Initial vote lock in.

Gonna need to lock in the answers for the current votes before putting up the additional votes for this week so that this doesn't get messy.

The voting results are as follows:

1-1) We've recruited Sudowoodo. Sudowoodo's stats are according to a neutral nature, pending what nature we vote for it. Which of the following natures does our newly recruited Sudowoodo have?
    A) Relaxed (+Defense, -Speed) - 1 vote
    B) Sassy (+Sp. Defense, -Speed) - 1 vote
    C) Bold (+Defense, -Attack)
    D) Quiet (+Sp. Attack, -Speed)

Tied. I need to look up Sudowoodo's stats lol. 65 base Sp. Defense. Base Defense 115. +10% would get us more bang for our buck on Defense then. Would not mind some more Sp. Def... but can't help but wonder if that 10% is going to be enough to make a difference. Perhaps better to just go Relaxed and try to use it against Physical attackers? I'll join A).

1-2) Our Egg has hatched into a Jangmo-o. Jangmo-o's stats are according to a neutral nature, pending what nature we vote for it. Which of the following natures does our newly hatched Jangmo-o have?
    A) Bold (+Defense, -Attack)
    B) Impish (+Defense, -Sp. Attack) - 2 votes
    C) Hasty (+Speed, -Defense)
    D) Brave (+Attack, -Speed)

Normally a recruited Pokemon's ability is determined by a coin flip if they have more than 1 normal ability and they can't have their HA.
    2) For a Pokemon that we hatch from an Egg we have free choice out of all it's abilities, including their Hidden Ability. Which of the following is our Jangmo-o's ability?
    A) Bulletproof - 2 votes
    B) Soundproof
    C) Overcoat

3-1) Have Sudowoodo hold an item?
    A) Yes, have Sudowoodo hold the Miracle Seed.
    B) Yes, have Sudowoodo hold the Silver Powder.
    C) Yes, have Sudowoodo hold an Oran Berry. - 1 vote
    D) Yes, have Sudowoodo hold a Sitrus Berry.
    E) Yes, have Sudowoodo hold a Lum Berry.
    F) Yes, have Sudowoodo hold a Berry Juice.
    G) No, don't have Sudowoodo hold an item now. - 1 vote

Tied. Would not hurt to give Sudowoodo a Berry to hold for some extra survivability should Alolan Persian fall. I'll join C).

3-2) Have Jangmo-o hold an item?
    A) Yes, have Jangmo-o hold the Miracle Seed.
    B) Yes, have Jangmo-o hold the Silver Powder.
    C) Yes, have Jangmo-o hold an Oran Berry. - 1 vote
    D) Yes, have Jangmo-o hold a Sitrus Berry.
    E) Yes, have Jangmo-o hold a Lum Berry.
    F) Yes, have Jangmo-o hold a Berry Juice.
    G) No, don't have Jangmo-o hold an item now. - 1 vote

I'd rather have it hold the Dragon Fang, but that's in storage atm. It looks like it's going to move all the way to the back of the party, so it shouldn't see any action soon. I'll join G).

4-1) Simisear can learn Toxic via TM. Teach Simisear Toxic?
    A) Yes, forget Incinerate.
    B) Yes, forget Acrobatics.
    C) Yes, forget Yawn.
    D) Yes, forget Bite.
    E) No, don't learn Toxic. - 2 votes

4-2) Simipour can learn Toxic via TM. Teach Simipour Toxic?
    A) Yes, forget Water Gun.
    B) Yes, forget Acrobatics.
    C) Yes, forget Bite.
    D) Yes, forget Scald.
    E) No, don't learn Toxic. - 2 votes

4-3) Sudowoodo can learn Dig via TM. Teach Sudowoodo Dig?
    A) Yes, forget Block. - 2 votes
    B) Yes, forget Mimic.
    C) Yes, forget Rock Tomb.
    D) Yes, forget Tearful Look.
    E) No, don't learn Dig.

4-4) Sudowoodo can learn Drain Punch via TM. Teach Sudowoodo Drain Punch?
    A) Yes, forget Block.
    B) Yes, forget Mimic. - 1 vote
    C) Yes, forget Rock Tomb.
    D) Yes, forget Tearful Look. - 1 vote
    E) No, don't learn Drain Punch.

Tied. Between 4-4) & 4-5) it's pretty much do I want to keep Tearful Look or not. Well I doubt we'll ever use it as we always play Offensively. Bulldoze is a solid move to have to. I'll join B) here.

4-5) Sudowoodo can learn Bulldoze via TM. Teach Sudowoodo Bulldoze?
    A) Yes, forget Block.
    B) Yes, forget Mimic.
    C) Yes, forget Rock Tomb.
    D) Yes, forget Tearful Look. - 1 vote
    E) No, don't learn Bulldoze. - 1 vote

Tied. And I'll join D) here.

4-6) Jangmo-o wants to learn Protect. Forget a move to learn Protect?
    A) Yes, forget Tackle.
    B) Yes, forget Leer. - 1 vote
    C) Yes, forget Dragon Breath.
    D) Yes, forget Focus Punch.
    E) No, don't learn Protect. - 1 vote

Tied. well... 4-8) only has one vote, which means Bulldoze is replacing Focus Punch. Which means I'll have to back Leer in 4-7 to avoid conflicting results. Which means I'll have to back E) here.

4-7) Jangmo-o wants to learn Dragon Tail. Forget a move to learn Dragon Tail?
    A) Yes, forget Tackle.
    B) Yes, forget Leer. - 1 vote
    C) Yes, forget Dragon Breath.
    D) Yes, forget Focus Punch. - 1 vote
    E) No, don't learn Dragon Tail.

    Tied. Joining B)

4-8) Jangmo-o can learn Bulldoze via TM. Teach Jangmo-o Bulldoze?
    A) Yes, forget Tackle.
    B) Yes, forget Leer.
    C) Yes, forget Dragon Breath.
    D) Yes, forget Focus Punch. - 1 vote
    E) No, don't learn Bulldoze.

5-1) Hawlucha is in the lead. Do we want to swap our lead for this room?
    A) No, keep Hawlucha in the lead.
    B) Yes, switch to Jangmo-o.
    C) Yes, switch to Simisear.
    D) Yes, switch to Alolan Persian. - 2 votes
    E) Yes, switch to Simipour.
    F) Yes, switch to Sudowoodo.

5-2) Jangmo-o is our lowest level party member. Do we want to put Jangmo-o in a different slot in our party in case our lead faints?
    A) Yes, switch Jangmo-o to the back of our party to the bottom slot. - 2 votes
    B) Yes, switch Jangmo-o to Simipour's slot in the party.
    C) Yes, switch Jangmo-o to Alolan Persian's slot in the party.
    D) Yes, switch Jangmo-o to Simisear's slot in the party.
    E) No, leave Jangmo-o where it is now.

6-1) Tadbulb is one of the Pokemon that Machoke needs to deliver to. Do we go make Machoke's delivery to the Tadbulb?
    A) Yes, go make Machoke's Delivery to the Tadbulb. - 2 votes

- 2 votes
    B) Leave helping out the Tadbulb for later.
    C) No, don't help out the Tadbulb.

6-3) If we help out the Tadbulb we'll fight two double battles with it against a Tympole and a Palpitoad. How do we fight any enemies in this room?
    A) Offensively; nothing but attacking moves and prioritizes super-effective attacks if possible. - 2 votes
    B) Balanced; Uses both Attacking moves as well as non-attacking moves. Prioritizes super-effective attacks if possible. Uses attacking moves 66% of the time on average.
    C) Defensively. Only attacks once every 3 turns. Uses the other two turns for non-attacking moves.

Note: The Tympole will be level 25, the Palpitoad will be level 28.

6-4) If we help out the Tadbulb, the recruitable Tadbulb's recruitment requirement will have been met. Do we recruit Tadbulb?
    A) Yes, recruit Tadbulb and send her to the hideout. - 1 vote
    B) Yes, recruit Tadbulb and send Hawlucha to the hideout.
    C) Yes, recruit Tadbulb and send Jangmo-o to the hideout. - 1 vote
    D) Yes, recruit Tadbulb and send Simisear to the hideout.
    E) Yes, recruit Tadbulb and send Alolan Persian to the hideout.
    F) Yes, recruit Tadbulb and send Simipour to the hideout.
    G) Yes, recruit Tadbulb and send Sudowoodo to the hideout.
    H) No, don't recruit Tadbulb now.

Tied. Well we still got a quest we can turn in at the merchant stand. If I join voting X in vote 10), it would mean some good free Exp. for Jangmo-o. As such I'd rather not bench it atm. I'll join A).

7-1) We have a Blowback Orb. Do we use the Blowback Orb in this room?
    A) Yes, use a Blowback Orb on the Tympole from the first double battle.
    B) Yes, use a Blowback Orb on the Palpitoad from the first double battle.
    C) Yes, use a Blowback Orb on the Tympole from the second double battle.
    D) Yes, use a Blowback Orb on the Palpitoad from the second double battle. - 1 vote
    E) No, don't use a Blowback Orb now. - 1 vote

Tied. It's an early game item imo, I'm not opposed to using it just to get rid of it =P
    I'll join D)

7-2) A See-Trap Orb reveals all traps in the current room and the lead Pokemon will avoid stepping on them if possible. Do we use a See-Trap Orb in this room?
    A) Yes, use a See-Trap Orb.
    B) No, don't use a See-Trap Orb now. - 2 votes

- 1 vote
    C) Yes, use a Slumber Orb on the Tympole from the second double battle.
    D) Yes, use a Slumber Orb on the Palpitoad from the second double battle.
    E) No, don't use a Slumber Orb now. - 1 vote

Tied. We'll be out of Slumber Orbs if I join using them, but as I'll be joining X) in the room vote so we can finish a Quest, we could end up buying new ones while there to replenish them so... sure, why not. Should make the battle considerably easier. Joining B).
Oh actually... we'll still have one Slumber Orb due to the Sticky one becoming usable again.

7-4) A Slumber Orb puts an enemy to sleep so we can pass it without fighting it or start the fight with it asleep. In this case, if we help out the Tadbulb, we can only use it to start a fight with the enemy being asleep. Do we use a second Slumber Orb in this room?
    A) Yes, use a Slumber Orb on the Tympole from the first double battle.
    B) Yes, use a Slumber Orb on the Palpitoad from the first double battle.
    C) Yes, use a Slumber Orb on the Tympole from the second double battle.
    D) Yes, use a Slumber Orb on the Palpitoad from the second double battle. - 1 vote
    E) No, don't use a Slumber Orb now. - 1 vote

    Tied. Joining D).

7-5) We have a Lob Orb. Do we use the Lob Orb in this room?
    A) Yes, use a Lob Orb on the Tympole from the first double battle.
    B) Yes, use a Lob Orb on the Palpitoad from the first double battle.
    C) Yes, use a Lob Orb on the Tympole from the second double battle.
    D) Yes, use a Lob Orb on the Palpitoad from the second double battle.
    E) No, don't use a Lob Orb now. - 2 votes

    D) Yes, use a Lob Orb on the Palpitoad from the second double battle.
    E) No, don't use a Lob Orb now. - 2 votes

7-7) We have a Totter Orb. Do we use the Totter Orb in this room?
    A) Yes, use a Totter Orb on the Tympole from the first double battle.

    E) No, don't use a Totter Orb now. - 2 votes

    A) Yes, drink a Berry Juice. Heals up to 50 HP and also heals any status conditions.
    B) Yes, eat an Oran Berry. Heals up to 100 HP. - 2 votes
    C) Yes, eat a Sitrus Berry. Heals up to 250 HP.
    D) No, don't heal up.

    9) What do we do with the items in this room?
    A) Pick up all items. - 2 votes
    B) Pick up only TM003 Thunderbolt.
    C) Pick up only the Green Shards.
    D) Pick up only the Red Shard.
    E) Pick up the Red Shard and the Green Shards.
    F) Pick up the Red Shard and TM003 Thunderbolt.
    G) Pick up TM003 Thunderbolt and the Green Shards.

    10) Which room do we go to next?
    A) Go to room 1 from it's right Southern entry.
    B) Go to room 1 from it's left Southern entry.

    U) Go to room 15.
    V) Go to the Move Releaner/Egg Move Tutor in the tree stump room.
    W) Go to the Merchant Stand.
    X) Go to the Merchant Stand first and then go to the Scovillain Society as well. - 1 vote
    Y) Go to the Scovillain Society.

Tied. Well I do want to go to room 13, but... I also want to turn in that Quest with Smoliv for the rewards so I'm joining X).

    A) Yes, use a Cleanse Orb to clear our Inventory of sticky items. - 1 vote
    B) No, don't use a Cleanse Orb now. - 1 vote

Tied. We got 3 Cleanse Orbs, might as well use one. Gives us more options for ditching TM's in storage. Given our offensive playstyle, would we ever have need of that currently sticky Thunder Wave TM, for example? Joining A).

    Spoiler:

We have Sudowoodo hold an Oran Berry, but don't have Jangmo-o hold an item now.
We don't teach Simisear Toxic and also don't teach Simipour Toxic. We have Sudowoodo forget Block to learn Dig, forget Mimic to learn Drain Punch & forget Tearful Look to learn Bulldoze via TM's.
Jangmo-o doesn't learn Protect & forgets Leer to learn Dragon Tail. We have Jangmo-o forget Focus Punch to learn Bulldoze.

We switch the lead to Alolan Persian and we switch Jangmo-o to the back of our party to the bottom slot.
We go make Machoke's Delivery to the Tadbulb. We help out the Tadbulb with confronting the Tympole & Palpitoad. We recruit Tadbulb and send her to the hideout. We fight any enemies offensively.
We use a Blowback Orb on the Palpitoad from the second double battle. We don't use a See-Trap Orb now. We use a Slumber Orb on the Palpitoad from the first double battle and we use a second Slumber Orb on the Palpitoad from the second double battle.
We don't use any Lob or Totter Orbs.

We heal in between the two double battles by eating an Oran Berry. We pick up all items and we next go to the Merchant Stand first and then go to the Scovillain Society as well.
After navigating the current room, but before heading to the next one, we go heal at the Hot Spring and use a Cleanse Orb to clear our Inventory of sticky items.

Perhaps have people nominate what they want to store or retrieve one week, and then put those nominations up for voting during the next week?

1-1) H) No, don't swap out Alolan Persian.

1-2) H) No, don't swap out Sudowoodo. Could be useful in the big room with three fliers...maybe?

1-3) H) No, don't swap out Simisear. Performed pretty well.

    1-4) H) No, don't swap out Hawlucha.

    1-5) H) No, don't swap out Simipour.

1-6) C) Yes, swap in Phantump. What is Jangmo-o going to do? Will have less Attack and Speed as Hakamo-o than Hawlucha at even level, despite the good IVs. Takes forever to reach level 45 for Kommo-o. Might reach that by the end of the year. Would rather invest in a different Pokemon. Notices a distinct lack of Thunderstones in the shop previously, so...Phantump? Learns Horn Leech in 4 levels. Not enamored by that nature, though.

2-1) A) Yes, store the TM in Abra Storage. Not really needed now.

2-2) B) No, keep the TM in our Inventory. Still okay.

2-3) A) Yes, store the TM in Abra Storage. Not really using status moves.

2-4) A) Yes, store the TM in Abra Storage.

2-5) A) Yes, store the TM in Abra Storage.

2-6) B) No, keep the TM in our Inventory.

2-7) B) No, keep the TM in our Inventory.

2-8) B) No, keep the TM in our Inventory.

2-9) A) Yes, store the TM in Abra Storage. A good move, but probably unusable by everyone on the team. Not good for Salazzle or Orbeetle either.

2-10) B) No, keep the TM in our Inventory.

2-11) B) No, keep the TM in our Inventory.

2-12) B) No, keep the TM in our Inventory.

    3) A) Yes, retrieve the TM from Abra Storage.

    4-1) B) No, don't store it.

4-2) A) Yes, store it. Not used now, so probably not anytime soon either.

4-3) A) Yes, store a Cleanse Orb. Will probably not need more than one on hand.

    4-4) D) No, don't store a Lob Orb.

4-5) A) Yes, store it. Not using Tadbulb right now.

4-6) B) No, don't store it. Good for Phantump.

    4-7) D) No, don't store a See-Trap Orb.

    4-8) A) Yes, store it.

    4-9) B) No, don't store it.

    4-10) B) No, don't store it.

    4-11) B) No, don't store it.

    4-12) B) No, don't store it.

5-1) B) No, leave it in Abra Storage.

5-2) B) No, leave it in Abra Storage.

5-3) B) No, leave it in Abra Storage.

5-4) B) No, leave it in Abra Storage.

5-5) B) No, leave it in Abra Storage.

5-6) B) No, leave it in Abra Storage.

5-8) A) Yes, retrieve it from Abra Storage. Worthwhile.

5-9) B) No, leave it in Abra Storage.

5-10) B) No, leave it in Abra Storage.

  • Pokemon Dungeon Escape - Act 1 - Chapter 47

For the full results of this week's first voting round, see my previous post above. I will only do the recap of it's results here:

We have Sudowoodo hold an Oran Berry, but don't have Jangmo-o hold an item now.

    Tied. Dang. I'm conflicted.
I would like to have Jangmo-o soak up that Quest Exp. before potentially benching it, but... Phantump could also use that Exp. and we can evolve it if we take it onto the team. And that Ghost exploration benefit will lets us claim some items we otherwise can't reach atm.
It's Grass type would also more easily let us beat up those Johto Wooper in that one room... once it learns a Grass move, which might actually be fairly soon as it can learn Trailblaze via TM.
Don't really want to bench Jangmo-o atm, but for the current situation taking Phantump on would be more beneficial I think. We could also always buy Exp. Candy later on once we have a discount with the construction company merchants to power level Jangmo-o too.
I'll join C) because of better possibilities for immediate use.

We're still on neutral terms with the Scovillain Society, which makes this revisit very peaceful as it will just be some talking.

If we clear it with Scovillain he might let Diggersby and then us into the camp to access that room, in exchange for a favor (which will earn us +20 Faction Reputation with them). Do we ask Cacturne to call Scovillain over so that we can talk about the spot on the wall?
    A) Yes, ask Cacturne to call Scovillain over. We will accept whatever favor he asks in return.
    B) Yes, ask Cacturne to call Scovillain over. We will only accept Scovillain's favor if it doesn't negatively impact Arboliva's Living Needs or the construction company.

    4) D) Yes, switch to Hawlucha Highest level.

5-1) A) Yes, turn in the quest.

    9-5) F) No, don't buy any.

    10) G) No, don't buy any. Does not really need any. Hates to burn all the shards on Energy Ball, even if it was enough, because of chests.

    11) A) Yes, pay the fee to have Mienshao open the treasure chest. Possibly the most worthwhile choice here.

12-1) A) Yes, accept Zoroark's quest. More merchants? Sure. Sounds like a trip to Room 10. Handles something like that pretty well with Alolan Persian.

12-2) A) Yes, go make Machoke's Delivery for Mabosstiff to the Cacturne.

    13) C) Yes, ask Cacturne to call Scovillain over. We hear out Scovillain's and ask to think about it before accepting or declining. Wants to hear the terms before agreeing. Could be something like wanting Hawlucha Soup.

We've arrived in the room marked as 13 on the map. The Gabite will charge us the moment we get past the Strength boulders.
The Clefairy has been stuck here due to the Gabite blocking the exit. We can help out the Clefairy by either fainting the Gabite or by putting it to sleep so she can slip past it once we've pushed the boulders out of the way. Doing so will earn us +10 Team Reputation.

    1) B) Quiet (+Sp. Attack, -Speed) Easy pick here.

    2-1) E) No, don't learn Taunt.

    2-2) E) No, don't learn Fling.

2-3) E) No, don't learn Fury Swipes. Fury Swipes? At this level? Psh.

    2-4) E) No, don't learn Fling.

2-5) B) Yes, forget Will-O-Wisp. This or Growth. Shrugs. Pairs well with Hex.

3-1) E) No, don't teach it Trailblaze. Only 50 power. Prefers the extra STAB moves, in case of PP draining traps.

3-2) E) No, don't teach it Trailblaze. Eh. Again, 50 power. Does not expect the speed boost to help much. Maybe this over Sucker Punch?

3-3) C) Yes, forget Dig. Only 5 less power than Dig. Provides some variety. Not opposed to not learning it either, given the new Grass type on the team.

3-4) D) Yes, forget Growth. Not a great move, but something physical and Grass.

4-1) A) No, keep Hawlucha in the lead. Two Ground moves, Bite, and Dragonbreath (versus Limber). Sounds perfect for Hawlucha.

4-2) A) Offensively; nothing but attacking moves and prioritizes super-effective attacks if possible.

    5-1) B) No, don't use a Brushoff Orb now.

5-2) B) No, don't use the Trapbust Orb now. How many traps can there be?

    5-3) B) No, don't use a See-Trap Orb now.

    5-4) C) No, don't use a Slumber Orb now.

    5-5) B) No, don't use a Lob Orb now.

    5-6) B) No, don't use a Totter Orb now.

    6) B) Yes, talk to the Clefable and make Machoke's delivery.

    7) D) No, don't heal up.

    8) A) Pick up all items. Ooh, Aggronite. Makes that Aron egg a little more appealing. Waits until level 42 to use it, though.

    9) N) Go to room 10 from the Eastern entrance.

10-1) A) Yes, go back and break the Rock Smash boulder for the items behind it.

10-2) A) Yes, go back and break the Rock Smash boulder for the items behind it.

10-3) A) Fight the Bidoof and grab the items.

10-4) D) Backtrack with Alolan Persian in the lead. Trusts in Alolan Persian to handle an ordinary Bidoof. Receives a pretty decent Attack bump from the Looplet (45 -> 55 Attack). Sidesteps any annoying traps (like poison) this way.

Tied. I feel like regardless of which I join, the other will be replaced by the next attacking move we learn so...
... oh right Trailblaze via TM. I'll have to join B) here if I want both Shadow Claw and a grass STAB.
    Joining B)

    C) Yes, forget Dig. - 1 vote
    D) Yes, forget Bite.
    E) No, don't teach it Trailblaze. - 1 vote

Tied. Not sure how much point there is in teaching it Trailblaze, aside from yeeting a 2 turn move... I'll just join E)

3-4) Trevenant can learn Trailblaze via TM. Teach Trevenant Trailblaze?
    A) Yes, forget Bulldoze.
    B) Yes, forget Will-O-Wisp.
    C) Yes, forget Hex.
    D) Yes, forget Growth. - 1 vote
    E) No, don't teach it Trailblaze. - 1 vote

Tied. Well... it's a grass STAB. Joining D)

4-1) Hawlucha is in the lead. Do we want to swap our lead for this room?
    A) No, keep Hawlucha in the lead. - 1 vote
    B) Yes, switch to Sudowoodo.
    C) Yes, switch to Simisear.
    D) Yes, switch to Alolan Persian.
    E) Yes, switch to Simipour. - 1 vote
    F) Yes, switch to Trevenant.

Tied. Hmm... I think Simipour probably outspeeds it and Mystic Water boosted Scald might be enough to faint it in 1 hit. Joining E)

4-2)How do we fight any enemies in this room?
    A) Offensively; nothing but attacking moves and prioritizes super-effective attacks if possible. - 2 votes
    B) Balanced; Uses both Attacking moves as well as non-attacking moves. Prioritizes super-effective attacks if possible. Uses attacking moves 66% of the time on average.
    C) Defensively. Only attacks once every 3 turns. Uses the other two turns for non-attacking moves.

    B) Yes, use a Slumber Orb on the Gabite and start a fight with it being asleep. - 1 vote
    C) No, don't use a Slumber Orb now. - 1 vote

Tied. Doubt we'll need this if we're using a Lob Orb. Could also use this instead of the Lob Orb. Hmm...
    ... I think I'll join C) here.

5-5) We have a Lob Orb. Do we use the Lob Orb in this room?
    A) Yes, use a Lob Orb on the Gabite. - 1 vote
    B) No, don't use a Lob Orb now. - 1 vote

Tied. A potential Lob Orb use. Definitely backing Simipour then. Scald + the Lob Orb should be enough to end it in 1 turn I think, so I'm joining A). Two Water Guns would probably suffice as well.

5-6) We have a Totter Orb. Do we use the Totter Orb in this room?
    A) Yes, use a Totter Orb on the Gabite.
    B) No, don't use a Totter Orb now. - 2 votes

Do we talk to Clefable and/or make Machoke's delivery to Clefable?

    B) Yes, eat an Oran Berry. Heals up to 100 HP.

    S) Go to room 12. - 1 vote
    T) Go to room 15.
    U) Go to the Move Releaner/Egg Move Tutor in the tree stump room.

Tied. Would not mind doing either tbh. We got a Grass type to resist Electric types, and it knows a Ground move, which should suffice.
Would kind of prefer Trevenant to get some levels first though. Sudowoodo could also help with Dig, but it doesn't resist Electric.
For room 10 Alolan Persian would probably end up just Biting everything to death. Even if Zorua is in the other Ghost types room we'd still get some Exp.
Hmm... I'll join N) in an attempt to have Trevenant level up a bit. Gabite + Bidoof might not be enough for a level up. Should be able to enter that Electric room with Trevenant 1 level higher this way. May or may not be of help. *shrugs*

10-1) We have a Fighting type in our party and can smash Rock Smash boulders. Before heading to the next room, do we go back for the items behind the Rock Smash boulder in the room above our hideout?
    A) Yes, go back and break the Rock Smash boulder for the items behind it. - 2 votes
    B) No, don't go back for the items behind the Rock Smash boulder now.

10-2) We have a Fighting type in our party and can smash Rock Smash boulders. Before heading to the next room, do we go back for the items behind the Rock Smash boulder in the room where we recruited Alolan Meowth?
    A) Yes, go back and break the Rock Smash boulder for the items behind it. - 2 votes
    B) No, don't go back for the items behind the Rock Smash boulder now.

10-3) In the room just above where we recruited Alolan Meowth, there's a Bidoof we skipped and 2 items we didn't pick up because of it. The Bidoof will only fight us if we pass by next to it. Do we fight the Bidoof and/or grab the items?

    B) Fight the Bidoof and ignore the items.
    C) Only get the Yellow Shard and ignore the Bidoof and the other item.
    D) Only get the Lum Berry and ignore the Bidoof and the other item.
    E) Only get the items and take a longer path that avoids fighting Bidoof.
    F) Ignore going back here for now.

10-4) Do we want to swap our lead for the (potential) backtrack?
    A) Backtrack with Hawlucha in the lead. - 1 vote
    B) Backtrack with Sudowoodo in the lead.
    C) Backtrack with Simisear in the lead.
    D) Backtrack with Alolan Persian in the lead. - 1 vote
    E) Backtrack with Simipour in the lead.
    F) Backtrack with Trevenant in the lead.

Tied. Alolan Persian will avoid any missed traps on the backtrack so I'll join D)

    Spoiler:

    Smoliv has a Quiet nature.
Hawlucha doesn't learn Taunt and we don't teach it Trailblaze. Simisear doesn't learn Fling.
Alolan Persian doesn't learn Fury Swipes and we don't teach it Trailblaze. Simipour doesn't learn Fling.
Trevenant forgets Will-O-Wisp to learn Shadow Claw. We have Trevenant forget Growth to teach it Trailblaze.
    We don't teach Sudowoodo Trailblaze.

We switch the lead to Simipour and fight any enemies offensively.
We use a Lob Orb on the Gabite. We don't use any other Orbs in this room.
We talk to the Clefable and make Machoke's delivery to her. We don't heal up after defeating the Gabite.
We pick up all items and we go to room 10 from the Eastern entrance.

We go back and break the Rock Smash boulder in the room above our hideout for the items behind it, as well as the Rock Smash boulder in the room where we recruited Alolan Meowth.
We fight the Bidoof and grab the items in the room just above where we recruited Alolan Meowth. We backtrack with Alolan Persian in the lead.

The path we take is as follows (Yellow -> Orange):

    Pokemon Dungeon Escape - Act 1 - Chapter 50

We arrive at the room that was marked as room 10 on the map, from the Eastern entrance. The Sinistea will attack us when we get within 3 tiles of them. The nearest Sinistea can't be avoided as a result. The others can all potentially be avoided depending on our path through the room. Something seems to be off about one of the Treasure Chests... it seems rather... nervous.

    1) F) Yes, use it on Trevenant. Probably could use some hitpoints, as a slow Pokemon.

2-1) E) No, don't learn Snarl. Not opposed to it. Hits basically as hard as Bite (but with lower accuracy), given Alolan's Persian's nature. Values the coverage, though.

    2-2) E) No, don't learn Body Slam.

2-3) E) No, don't teach it Body Slam. A solid move, but what would you get rid of? Dig? Eh.

2-4) E) No, don't teach it Body Slam. Nah. Prefers the redundancy here.

3-1) A) No, keep Alolan Persian in the lead. Trusts Trevenant to handle the Sinisteas. Faces oodles of traps along the way, though. Picks Alolan Persian.

3-2) A) Offensively; nothing but attacking moves and prioritizes super-effective attacks if possible.

4-1) A) Yes, fight all of the optional Sinistea. Demolishes all of them.

4-2) A) Yes, talk to Zorua. Came here for that reason.

    5-1) F) No, don't use a Brushoff Orb now.

5-2) B) No, don't use the Trapbust Orb now.

    5-3) B) No, don't use a See-Trap Orb now.

    5-4) K) No, don't use a Slumber Orb now.

    5-5) K) No, don't use a Slumber Orb now.

    5-6) F) No, don't use a Lob Orb now.

    5-7) F) No, don't use a Totter Orb now.

    6) D) No, don't heal up. Devours these things. Deals with some not very effective Sucker Punches, perhaps.

7-1) A) Pick up all items.

7-2) A) Try to pick it up so we can take it to Mienshao later on. Plans to fight all the Sinistea.

7-3) A) Try to pick it up so we can take it to Mienshao later on. Presumes one of the chests to be Gimmighoul. More experience.

    8) Q) Go to room 12.
