How are you feeling this Friday? I know you were excited about Halloween on its way last we spoke. I am looking forward to roasting pumpkin seeds tomorrow, carving a jack-o-lantern and painting squash. Maybe watching a few scary movies, and reading some horror too?

Speaking of holidays, I wanted to mention that I just snagged you something with gym leader Erika on it at your request for your birthday. I think you will like what I picked. I purchased an expedited shipping option with tracking to guarantee it arrives on time for your big day, especially since I picked it up from Japan. It's going to be delivered before your birthday, a week before at the latest estimation, it may come as early as the beginning of November. I'm mentioning this so you know that something is on the way to you, and don't open your birthday gift too early by mistake. I want you to not know exactly what it looks like before your birthday, that would spoil the surprise! Last time you opened up your Scorbunny crochet on purpose before your birthday, so don't go peeking this time around! Have a little patience this November. Good things come to those who wait :)

Oh also I did resolve the trading situation. I asked Janna if she would like me to send the Wartotle in care of her beau Marcin, but she proposed another plan to me. She was actually able to work out something so that I could directly trade with her on 3ds, though she had some trouble connecting at first. She was able to get enough of a signal in a different part of the house. Everything ultimately went smoothly and she is united with her shiny at last. It would have been fun to trade with Bobandbill though as a back up option. He seems nice. Maybe some day he and I will end up crossing paths in a trade though? Never know what the future has in store!

I have found a lot of interesting alternative food stuffs by going vegan that give my recipes a really rich, new flavor. I added some almond milk yogurt to some southern fried grit cakes I made recently instead of butter, and it gave the grits such a special creamy flavor and a bit of a twang that they didn't have before. Got tons of compliments on it.

That pumpkin curry with chick peas suggestion sounds every so delightful! Since I have pumpkins at home for carving I might have to try that recipe. Thanks for thinking of me love. Have a splendid weekend!

I don't think you ever told me how many technological and financal struggles you were having actually. I'm sorry to hear that things are falling apart like that. I wouldn't have troubled you had I fully realized what your situation was. No worries, you don't need to apologise for not being able to get involved. I just hope that things get better for you soon, and I believe they will. November is just around the corner. I did ask Jo this weekend, but I haven't gotten a response yet, so I think she's busy. I thought I would try the Trade Corner team next since trades are what they specialize in after all. Does BobandBill use 3ds? If you think that he would be able to help, then I will ask him next if I can't get aid from TC.

How is the part-time job going? Well that's refreshing to hear, because not everyone is respectful of this lifestyle I have chosen. A lot of people just don't understand it, and think being vegan is something unhealthy and crazy. Though the irony is ithat it is totally nutritious and safe if you know how to plan your meals, and would decrease my risk for many health problems like higher cholesterol, heart disease, type 2 diabetes, stroke certain forms of cancer. Finding healthy and tasty food to eat that's vegan hasn't been a problem for me at all. The only awkwardnes comes from being made fun of sometimes. But that won't deter me from doing what I think is right. I became a vegetarian because I love animals, and I always will, so it came to a point where I didn't want to kill or inflict suffering on them since it's not necessary for my survival. It's not like I'm a cat or anything. I can be happy as a herbivore. I went vegan for the same reasons. Thanks for listening love, and being open-minded. I appreciate that you want to learn how to cook plant-based meals too. I would not at all be opposed to vegan recipe suggestions in your cooking club.

We're not without our rest and relaxation here in the USA this weekend though. While it isn't Thanksgiving here yet--that comes on the last Thursday of November, it's still a 3-day weekend because tomorrow is Christopher Columbus day.

Yes, I crossed over into world of veganism this month. I feel this is closer the lifestyle supported by the Buddhist literature I read. l will be donating non-vegan products I own like cashmere sweaters to shelters, and food that is perishable like cartons of eggs I'll just give to friends so it doesn't go to waste. Thank you so being supportive of my new found perspective. I'll make sure I share with you any recipes I enjoy, one cook to another. I bought to pay your cooking club a visit soon ^_^

I have favor to ask if you. I know that you have a Nintendo Switch, and I believe Pokemon Home and Bank too. I want to give our good friend Jana a shiny Wartortle this month as a gift, but currently she is only able to use a Nintendo Switch. Would it be okay if you and I do link trade some time this week, so I can entrust Wartortle to you to trade with her on the Switch at your convenience?

Family dinners are going to be more of a challenge for me in the future since I have evolved from vegetarianism, and have become a full vegan, but I am ready for that challenge and excited about having even more opportunities to cook creatively.

I'm sorry we got cut off earlier since you had to get home and had a battery failure. I really wanted to keep the conversation going with you, but not long after we paused I had to be with my parents, some things are happening right now with my brother. Then we had another flash flood warning , so I had to move into a different space, charge up batteries,grab food and medicine, get my pets to safety etc. Everything is okay though, the warning ended about an hour ago, and it's just raining normal now, the storm has passed.

I have missed you though. We seem to be star-crossed with obstacles that keep coming up. We need the help of good spirits to let us be together like the flock of birds that appeared and made a bridge over the milkyway that separated the weaver and cowherd from Chinese legend, allowing the soul mates to meet on the 7th day of the 7th month.

I hope that we get to have a moment together soon. Thank you for all the delightful music and photos and stories you've been sharing with me. I want to send you something to let you know that I'm thinking of you, and maybe bring a smile to your face at the end of a long day.

There's a lovely fireworks display tonight that I am enjoying. If only we could have fun and share it together. It's like seeing glitter burst across the sky. There's also a partial lunar eclipse tonight to make the occasion that much more special and enchanting. The 4th of July is a more ambivalent holiday to me compared with say Christmas or Easter or Valentine's Day, but I am starting to get into the spirit, and sending you love, magic and fire works dearest. I close my eyes and picture us at Parfum Palace gazing at a sparkling night sky. <3
