Underestimated Night Shade (or just skimmed over it). Hits pretty hard, relative to other moves.

    1) E) No, don't learn Fire Fang. Already knows Ember. Could justify it in case Ember gets PP drained like Work Up did.

2-1) C) Yes, switch to Squawkabilly. Forces them into Dragonbreath. Likely means paralysis. Prefers facing Gible's base 40 Special Attack than its base 70 Attack on someone else.

    2-2) D) No, don't heal up.

    3) A) Offensively; nothing but attacking moves and prioritizes super-effective attacks if possible.

    4-1) C) No, don't use a Blowback Orb now.

4-2) B) No, don't use a See-Trap Orb now. Small room, so nah.

    4-3) E) No, don't use a Slumber Orb now.

    4-4) E) No, don't use a Slumber Orb now.

    4-5) C) No, don't use a Lob Orb now.

    5) D) No, don't heal up.

    6) A) Pick up all items. Nice item for Squawkabilly there.

    7) U) Go to room 12. As good as any other.

8-1) A) Yes, go heal at the Hot Spring.

8-2) A) Yes, visit an Abra to add Pansear to the party. Good for the Ice room (and the Fairy one too).

  • Pokemon Dungeon Escape - Act 1 - Chapter 33

The voting results are as follows:

    1) Litleo wants to learn Fire Fang. Forget a move to learn Fire Fang?
    A) Yes, forget Noble Roar. - 1 vote
    B) Yes, forget Ember.
    C) Yes, forget Work Up.
    D) Yes, forget Headbutt.
    E) No, don't learn Fire Fang. - 1 vote

We would've been unable to attack Gimmighoul in the last room if Ember had been PP leeched or Sealed. We haven't yet used Noble Roar at all. I'll join A).

2-1) Litleo is in the lead. Do we want to swap our lead for this room?
    A) No, keep Litleo in the lead.
    B) Yes, switch to Alolan Persian.
    C) Yes, switch to Squawkabilly. - 1 vote
    D) Yes, switch to Barboach.
    E) Yes, switch to Simipour.- 1 vote

Tied. Well, Simipour is higher level and can probably dispatch Gible faster... but is also on -2 Sp. Defense. A Sand Attack or two might also ruin our accuracy and will probably put us in mortal danger. Squawkabilly can only be hit by one of it's attacks and won't be getting any accuracy drops. Squawkabilly seems like the safer option here to me.
    I'll join C)

2-2) Litleo is at 44/61 HP. Should we heal?
    A) Yes, drink a Berry Juice. Heals up to 50 HP and also heals any status conditions.

    C) Yes, eat a Sitrus Berry. Heals up to 250 HP.
    D) No, don't heal up. - 2 votes

    3) How do we fight any enemies in this room?
    A) Offensively; nothing but attacking moves and prioritizes super-effective attacks if possible. - 2 votes
    B) Balanced; Uses both Attacking moves as well as non-attacking moves. Prioritizes super-effective attacks if possible. Uses attacking moves 66% of the time on average.

1-1) A) Yes, evolve Pansear into Simisear. Just realized Pansear does not have Flame Burst because of getting removed in Generation 8. Never reappeared since then.

1-2) A) Yes, have Squawkabilly hold it. Does not use Acrobatics, so sure.

    2) F) Yes, switch to Pansear. This or Alolan Persian. Tanks the Ice Shards a little better this way.

3-1) A) Offensively; nothing but attacking moves and prioritizes super-effective attacks if possible.

3-2) F) Fight all the Snorunt. A good match-up here, and not too dangerous.

4-2) B) No, don't use a See-Trap Orb now. Not the worst time, but eh.

4-3) B) Yes, use a Slumber Orb on the Mightyena and start a fight with it being asleep. Sees Swagger in its movelist. Might as well get the experience and remove it from the field.

    4-4) I) No, don't use a Slumber Orb now.

    4-5) E) No, don't use a Lob Orb now.

5-1) B) Yes, eat an Oran Berry. Heals up to 100 HP. Picked up oodles of them. Why not?

5-2) D) No, don't heal up. Should be in fine shape, barring traps.

    6) A) Pick up all items. Trigger all the traps. Thought about using Alolan Persian here for this reason.

    7) V) Go to room 14. Wants to enter the Strength rooms while able.

  • Pokemon Dungeon Escape - Act 1 - Chapter 34.5

I have to work tomorrow (and next Monday, yay for 6 day workweeks) and didn't get the update finished today.

I've attached the images I did get finished and the result of the voting is in the spoiler below:

    Spoiler:

Persian leveled up to level 23. Squawkabilly leveled up to level 21.

I'll leave the quoting for next week so you'll be pinged when I finish off the update (the most time demanding part for me is running the fights and calculating the Exp. and updating the Party image).

Since this is more or less a progress-less week now though, it seems like a good time to me to do some voting on stuff I either forgot (TM's for Simisear), or normally don't really have the space for as there's already too many votes.

1-1) B) Yes, forget Fury Swipes. Not an amazing move, but better than Fury Swipes. Keeps Yawn as an alternative strategy.

    1-2) E) No, don't teach Simisear Will-O-Wisp. Prefers Yawn as a better all-around move.

2-1) E) Yes, hold an Oran Berry. Extra safety.

2-2) J) No, don't swap Persian's held item. Wants it for Dark stuff.

2-3) J) No, don't swap Litleo's held item. Considered an Oran Berry. Eh. Theoretically saves damage by fainting something.

2-4) D) Yes, hold the Soft Sand. Acts as the Ground type with Bulldoze. Not a bad idea for an Oran Berry either.

2-5) I) Yes, swap Barboach's Mystic Water to Simipour. Fills the Water type role better than Barboach.

    2-6) J) No, don't swap Squawkabilly's held item.

Tied. Not sure if it's necesary, but it would be safer. We're not shy on Slumber Orbs so I'll just join B).

Tied. We'll already have been through half the room by the time we defeat 2 opponents... so it might be more effective to join the heal here.
Then again with Mightyena being asleep when we start the fight with it, it might be better to save it for after all 4 have been beaten.

    1) D) Yes, switch to Barboach. Ignores Electro Ball and Thunder Wave this way.

    2) A) Offensively; nothing but attacking moves and prioritizes super-effective attacks if possible.

3-1) C) No, don't use a Blowback Orb now. Should be fine.

3-2) B) No, don't use a See-Trap Orb now. Not amazing in a small, narrow room.

3-3) E) No, don't use a Slumber Orb now. Overkill.

    3-4) E) No, don't use a Slumber Orb now.

    3-5) C) No, don't use a Blowback Orb now.

    4) D) No, don't heal up. Presumably does fine. Swaps to Simipour for the next room, assuming the room directly north.

    5) B) Don't talk to Smoliv yet and confront the Scovillain Society later. Only 15 reputation off, so why not wait? Likely reaches that with Hawlucha's quest.

    6) A) Pick up all items. Despite taking a lot of damage from traps.

    7) W) Go to room 15. As good as any other nearby. Figures Hawlucha's item to be somewhere nearby.

Hawlucha's item was for recruiting it btw.
Though there are still a couple quests we haven't found yet.

Oops. Forgot to change Blowback to Lob after copy pasting. Fixed it.

  • Pokemon Dungeon Escape - Act 1 - Chapter 35

The voting results are as follows:

    1) Simisear is in the lead. Do we want to swap our lead for this room?
    A) No, keep Simisear in the lead. - 1 vote
    B) Yes, switch to Alolan Persian.
    C) Yes, switch to Litleo.
    D) Yes, switch to Barboach. - 1 vote
    E) Yes, switch to Simipour.
    F) Yes, switch to Squawkabilly.

Tied. Simisear would be better offensively I think, but is on -2 Sp. Defense. Barboach is better defensively.
Could Simisear knock out the Joltik in 1 hit, I wonder. If so... wait, Simisear is holding an Oran Berry which makes it a lot safer to keep Simisear in and just try and knock the Joltik out in 1 attack.
    I'll join A)

    2) How do we fight any enemies in this room?
    A) Offensively; nothing but attacking moves and prioritizes super-effective attacks if possible. - 2 votes
    B) Balanced; Uses both Attacking moves as well as non-attacking moves. Prioritizes super-effective attacks if possible. Uses attacking moves 66% of the time on average.
    C) Defensively. Only attacks once every 3 turns. Uses the other two turns for non-attacking moves.

3-1) We have a Blowback Orb. Do we use the Blowback Orb in this room?
    A) Yes, use a Blowback Orb on the level 22 Joltik.
    B) Yes, use a Blowback Orb on the level 24 Joltik.
    C) No, don't use a Blowback Orb now. - 2 votes

3-2) A See-Trap Orb reveals all traps in the current room and the lead Pokemon will avoid stepping on them if possible. Do we use a See-Trap Orb in this room?
    A) Yes, use a See-Trap Orb.
    B) No, don't use a See-Trap Orb now. - 2 votes

3-3) A Slumber Orb puts an enemy to sleep so we can pass it without fighting it or start the fight with it asleep. Do we use a Slumber Orb in this room?
    A) Yes, use a Slumber Orb on the level 22 Joltik and avoid fighting it.

    E) No, don't use a Slumber Orb now. - 2 votes

3-4) A Slumber Orb puts an enemy to sleep so we can pass it without fighting it or start the fight with it asleep. Do we use a second Slumber Orb in this room?

    B) Yes, use a Slumber Orb on the level 22 Joltik and start a fight with it being asleep.
    C) Yes, use a Slumber Orb on the level 24 Joltik and avoid fighting it.

    C) No, don't use a Lob Orb now. - 2 votes

    4) We can heal after defeating 2 opponents. Should we heal?
    A) Yes, drink a Berry Juice. Heals up to 50 HP and also heals any status conditions. - 1 vote
    B) Yes, eat an Oran Berry. Heals up to 100 HP.
    C) Yes, eat a Sitrus Berry. Heals up to 250 HP.
    D) No, don't heal up. - 1 vote

Tied. Simisear is holding an Oran Berry. Seems unnecesary to heal with it in the lead. I'll join D)

5)Smoliv is waiting for us here for our help in confronting the Scovillain Society. We need a Team Reputation of 150 or higher to resolve the situation peacefully. If we go to the room West of here: Do we talk to the Smoliv and confront the Scovillain Society?
(this vote will be ignored if we do not go to the room West of here in the room vote, and the dialogue with Smoliv will then be automatically done whenever we do go there)
    A) Talk to Smoliv and help it confront the Scovillain Society. - 1 vote
    B) Don't talk to Smoliv yet and confront the Scovillain Society later. - 1 vote

I'll be joining the other room in the room vote so we won't be heading there just yet and so it doesn't really matter who I join here, but I'll join B) for formality.

    6) What do we do with the items in this room?
    A) Pick up all items. - 2 votes
    B) Pick up only the Green Shard.

    K) Pick up the Yellow Shard, TwistedSpoon and the Green Shard.
    L) Pick up the Yellow Shard, TwistedSpoon and the Berry Juice.
    M) Pick up the Green Shard, TwistedSpoon and the Berry Juice.

    C) Go to room 2 from it's Southern entry.
    D) Go to room 2 from it's Eastern entry.

    F) Go to room 4 from it's Northern entry.
    G) Go to room 4 from it's lower Western entry.
    H) Go to room 3 from it's Western entry. (we'll have to fight the Nymble on the way).
    I) Go to room 3 from its left Southern entry.
    J) Go to room 3 from it's right Southern entry.

    L) Go to room 6 from it's Eastern entry.

    V) Go to room 14. - 1 vote
    W) Go to room 15. - 1 vote
    X) Go to the Move Releaner/Egg Move Tutor in the tree stump room.

Tied. We need to explore 1 more room after this room for a hot spring vote so I'll join W) so that we can potentially enter room 14 fully healed and with no debuffs on any of our Party members.

    Spoiler:

We keep Simisear in the lead. We fight any enemies in this room offensively.
We don't use any Orbs in this room. We don't heal up after defeating 2 opponents.
We don't go to the Western room next so we don't talk to the Smoliv yet.
We pick up all items and go to the room marked with 15 on the map.

The path we take is as follows:

    Pokemon Dungeon Escape

Stepped on a Sticky Trap. A Slumber Orb became Sticky and can't be used until it is cleansed.
Stepped on a Spin Trap. Simisear became confused.
Stepped on a Slow Trap. Simisear's Speed fell drastically.

Tied. This is a tough call for me... especially since I try to vote as a player and try to ignore knowing what is where as much as possible.
I want to go to room 14 and deal with the Scovillain Society so we can wrap up two quests.
But at the same time I'd prefer not to make them into an enemy unless we actually have to, which is usually my playstyle in games.
How long would we have to wander though? There could be some quest or event nearby that would grant us the Team Reputation we need... or it could take us another 10 rooms to find it.
After thinking it over for a while I think I'll do this: I'll join W) for now and go to room 15. I want to give the peaceful option a chance, but don't want to wander around for too long, so...
If we have not found something to increase our Team Reputation by the next hot Spring vote, I'm definitely joining the room 14 vote then, assuming it's tied again.

    8) After navigating the current room, but before heading to the next one, we can go heal at the Hot Spring. Should we heal?

    1) E) Yes, switch to Simisear. No Fighting moves, sadly. Settles for the next best thing. Avoids Barboach in case of Bulldoze triggering Defiant.

    2) A) Offensively; nothing but attacking moves and prioritizes super-effective attacks if possible.

3-1) F) No, don't use a Blowback Orb now. Not overly concerned.

    3-2) B) No, don't use a See-Trap Orb now. Not opposed to it, as a 1x2 room.

3-3) B) No, don't use the Trapbust Orb now. Saves this for the next room.

3-4) K) No, don't use a Slumber Orb now. Also maybe the next room.

    3-5) K) No, don't use a Slumber Orb now.

    3-6) F) No, don't use a Lob Orb now.

    4) D) No, don't heal up. Should one-shot the Pawniards.

    5) B) Pick up only the items that don't result in fighting the Silicobra. Prefers to be a bit safer, especially with a big room coming up. Matches a Pokemon easier to three Ground types too.

    6) Z) Go to room 15 from the upper Eastern entrance. Might be able to acquire that reputation there.
