Rotom's an interesting Pokemon. Wonder if I could change its form later on?

That's the only list there is, you're free to pick any non-legendary basic Pokémon from the list. Other Pokémon and shinies can be won in regional events when they happen.

Rotom surely is, just give me a call when you want to change its form.

Regional power outage fixed

The power outage is not known to have caused any real trouble. Electric Pokémon were gathered to power important buildings, like hospitals. Thanks to the same outage we were not able to print a Morning Chatters in the last two days, my apologies on behalf of the entire redaction.
Mr. Connan, a local farmer, had averted the insane Pokémon with his Miltank Clara. Clara's Heal Bell made the Pokémon come to their senses when he was attacked by a flock of Murkrow. When the farmer heard about the incident at the power plant, he and his Miltank tried used the same move. While the Klink remained calm, a team of twenty-two workers got the power plant back to action.

Ilnoa- Crazy red eyed Pokémon have been appearing all over the region for the last couple of days. It's still unknown what causes this, but it's present everywhere, the phenomenon has been reported in other regions too.
Ilnoa's power plant, providing energy to 80% of the region (everything except Poloma, Tsunama and Shargos). The power plant got inoperative by an attack of the Klink, that naturally live in the building for as long as people can remember. The Pokémon have never caused a problem before and therefore the government had decided they could live there. As many other Pokémon, the Klink started to go berserk with glowing red eyes. The attack didn't cause any deaths, but three staff members got injured.

^P_K^M_N Trainer Al joined the region! Sorry it took me so long to welcome you, but that doesn't make you less welcome here! Your Joltik is named Joltik for now, just poke me if you want to change it. :)

Basically, there is this region, Raoga. People can write or draw things about the region, its history, people and happenings. There will be global events versus other regions and regional events versus each other too.


As mentioned above, the PokéDex can be expanded! Therefore, everybody can propose a couple of Pokémon to be added to the list, like Sven and Strider already did, although the threats weren't necessary. Please don't kill me!

New Raogaian island discovered?

The other small towns aren't interested in the sea and therefore don't stand a chance to discover an island. In fact, none of the sea trade routes cross the area in which the island was found. In fact, it's not necessary nobody has visited the area. People could have seen it but either not mentioned because they didn't the importance or simply because they never have returned. Poloma- When Henry Board, a twenty-two year old teacher at Poloma's surfing school, and his Pelipper Pelly were surfing and flying far off the coast they saw an island at the horizon, or so he claims. No islands are known to be located within the estimated area, yet he is convinced he saw it. "Me and Pelly were surfing and flying, there's not much difference between the two with her, which makes it so exciting. Anyway, we went further away than we normally do, a lot further and then I saw it. My eyes don't lie, there was land! I saw it, it was there!" says the ecstatic Mr. Board.

An unknown island
Raoga contest #1

Introduction

If you've read the news (a few posts above this one, here), you know an island has been discovered and a team is on their way to check it out. Rumors have spread the island is inhabited by a legendary Pokémon, can they be true? Welcome to Raoga's first small contest!

What's it about?

It's not very complicated, there's an island discovered in the east of the mainland, inhabited by any legendary or mythical Pokémon of your choice, provided it's not already present in Raoga's Dex. Your entry describes the island and this Pokémon. You can think to show things like:
-Why the legendary Pokémon is on that island.
-What the legendary Pokémon is doing there.
-What the island looks like.
-Any other Pokémon that inhabit the island.
-The island's name.
-...

Be as creative as you want. Your submission can be in any form you like, text, an artwork, etcetera. You may even sing a song about it if you feel like.

Please send your entry to me by PM before September 3rd, that's ten days away from now. If more time appears to be needed, no worries. Just mention and I can extend it for a bit.

The winner's idea will be officially added to the region as the mysterious island. Also, the chosen legendary Pokémon will be added to the winner's party. Good luck!

Revise, you ninja! There goes my point of it being silent in here. Anyway:

I haven't implemented items yet and I don't think there's much need to at this point. Pokémon function as trophies already, so that's not necessary. I'll think about an interesting way to make them have an effect, but if you can come up with something, please tell me.

Regional contests can be both, although there didn't appear to be much interest in battles. I think my post above pretty much answers the second part of the question. Also, aside contests, you can also write (or any other means) about the adventures of your character through the region and what he thinks about the news and such.

I'll maybe think of something but I'm not that good so I'm not sure if I can come up with anything. I'll probably write up a paragraph or two about my character sometime though.
