I agree. Before Oshawott, I felt as if we needed a samurai Pokémon. I too like the Oshawott line, but mostly because it's also based on an otter and all. Plus it's pretty good in battle.

Generation VI and Generation I had the best designs, but only interior wise. Gen VI captures the modern feel well, whereas Gen I feels rather homey. Exterior wise, my favourite is HGSS Johto, especially the Violet City/Ecruteak City Centers. They look sleek and modern.
